Good squid loadout?
I've been having a hell of time dividing on Super Earth on higher difficulties and I'm curious what everyone is using.

I took a break for like 3 months and came back when the squids left the Meridian Wormhole so I have no idea what is good for them now

They buffed Eruptor, it's actually usable now, it 3-4 shots the fleshmobs, so does the W.A.S.P, it's also pretty against squids.

I use the Eruptor and the RL-77 Airburst Rocket Launcher. An Uzi as a side arm and having the A/MG-43 Machine Gun Sentry, a A/AC-8 Autocannon Sentry and the E/AT-12 Anti-Tank Emplacement. I use the first basic helmet and armor because why not. I've played heavy armor for a long while but it really doesn't matter I feel. I only play on difficulty 10 btw.
Liberator Carbine
Grenade pistol
Frag grenade
MG support weapon
Guard dog backpack
MG sentry turret
Emancipator exosuit
Armor with engineering kit perk

I'm using Liberator Penetrator with angled foregrip. And even then, the recoil is nonexistant. And the grenade pistol to wipe out ships/enemy sentries/the occasional "oh shiz im gonna die anyways" moments.

My two best loadouts for squids

Both use Street Scout armour, but YMMV

Both use:
Tenderizer
Ultimatum
Fire impact

Then either:
WASP Launcher
Gatling turret
Orbital Laser
500kg

Or:

MG43
AR Guard Dog
Orbital Laser
500kg
gas grenade
scorcher
ultimatum side arm
WASP launcher
500KG eagle
gatling sentry
FRV (car)

I run that in almost all squid missions
The AR-61 Tenderizer and AR-23A Liberator Carbine does really well with the right attachments, tightens up that recoil and deal a lot of damage to almost everything. You can down the shield in one clip and follow up with an explosive. If you want to stay really long range and follow up with a commando it's do able.

The SMG-32 Reprimand also has tighter recoil now, shread meatwads pretty well but overseers are a little hard to hit and sometimes ufo shield needs a secondary follow up to drop them.

The SG-225IE Breaker Incendiary works great with the duckbill and with the way fire works now it'll melt everything below a strider. ironically, the SG-225SP Breaker Spray & Pray works better with a full choke but the way overseer armor works it's not the best. Feels good though.

I hear the R-36 Eruptor is doing fantastic but haven't had the chance to try it. A lot pair it with the M-105 Stalwart.

LAS-5 Scythe Is said to be doing good with the fire changes and I love the gun, but it's just not doing it for me. Both LAS-16 Sickle and LAS-17 Double-Edge Sickle are doing really well. Finally the PLAS-1 Scorcher is just a all around good gun to use especially against meat wads, but ammo is it's worst weakness.

Right now the stratagems you want to use are air craft based, they are seeing a reduction so the 500kg for example replenishes within a minute. All orbital strike take another minute to recharge.

There is no standard loadout for the SE invasion, everything is going to be situational. If you're playing Repel Invasion, this is the best build we've found:

500kg (OPS might be better here)
Gatling Sentry
Laser
Supply Pack

A primary to kill overseers like the Scorcher, Ultimatum for crowds or popping UFOs, and Thermite Grenade. You should be able to run between ships dropping grenades and then resupplying yourself when your strats on on CD. We managed to duo LVL 10 repel with this loadout.

Weapons - Eruptor, Verdict, Incendiary impact
Stratagems - heavy MG, 500kg, Drone(gas or rifle), MG or gatling sentry
Medium penetration primary. AP3 weapons can destroy squid eagles. Better go with assault rifles than marksman rifles though. Blitzer is good too, but it won't be able to deal with shields or squid eagles.
Secondary is based on preferences more than anything. Grenade pistol is decent for dealing with squid ships, ultimatum can't oneshot squid ships anymore, or rather, it is inconsistent.
Gas, incendiary or impact grenades, gas and incendiary are good against voteless, and specifically fleshmass, while impact (the regular kind) has heavy armor penetration capable of removing tripod legs quickly.

Stratagems depend on whether you play in a team or solo, but you might want to have a way of dealing with the Levi on high difficulties, but it has a ton of health and heavy armor, heavy enough to shrug off hmg fire, so it is either rocket turret, anti-tank emplacement or recoilless rifle, which needs 6-8 shots to bring it down. It isn't necessary, but it can be quite annoying.

I usually go with supply backpack, and turrets, since I can loot support weapon in the field, and supply pack is basically extra stims/grenades/ammo that can be refilled with supply pod. Defensive mission and eradicate forces are an exception, emplacements and turrets only. Squid invasion mission is... well, having a way to deal with ships without bringing down their shields first is immensely helpful. A 380 or walking barrage, orbital strike and eagle 500kg bomb will deal with the ships now that ultimatum got a nerf.

Grenade launcher (for meatballs or any other illu), MG drone, gatling sentry, mg sentry. Light armor.
Awesome!
Ulti for bases, fire nade for voiceless, any gun will do the job.

dont use orbital strikes or air strikes caused by the sky scrapers.

There's no good weapon let alone loadout for the Illuminate... At least according to some in here. :dip:
Strange advice from noobs, don't listen to them.
First of all, your loadout depends on your style of play, as well as whether you use a single style or focus on a team. Do you care about death or do you like to play without death (like me).
From what I've read from the advisers, it looks like they don't really care about deaths.
