Everyone loves the SEAF troops
Hope they will be kept after the super earth invasion. If democracy survives, ofcourse.

Long, long time ago there were some leaks of SAEF platoon stratagem call-in, but it was very early data mining.

They are fun to see, but there rather disappointing in action, I hope behavior/capability wise like the marines are in halo, dodging, rolling,a lot more aggressive in combat, and more importantly would be pretty cool if they could hop in the rover and man the gun for you if you have seats available.

They need a higher range of engagement in my opinion, even if it means lower accuracy/rate of fire (and a bit more reactivity at close/very close range). As they are performing now, they would get obliterated by bots before they could reach the range they could start shooting at.

What would also be neat is that if you could give/trade them support weapons (at least some of them), like the EAT of MG : you would get a possible interaction with "E" next to a soldier to take/give them a support weapon (and exchange if both of you already have one). If they can't use some weapons, at least they could carry them for you (could be great if you're bringing EAT and a machin-gun for instance, so you can switch fast when needed).

to be fair they are like the bots themselves their range in which they engage is very short but when they are in combat they shoot pretty far.

For bots they have high range because it usually the hell diver who shoot first and prop them into combat.

Maybe I feel that way because they only start shooting voteless once very close, but I'm pretty sure I saw them getting shot by overseer, and they would only retaliate once the overseer would walk closer to them.

Nah they are cannon Fooder who good for nothing than distraction
I absolutely adore the little blue dudes. They're kinda derpy and struggle with basic self preservation, but so do Pikmin and I love them.

A bit too stupid for my taste.
It was cute, but also immersion breaking.
Could use a better AI.
They remind me of when halo had marines. They compliment you when you kill things, and cheer when they kill things. I would die for them.

Well, you can think of them as conscripted civvies. The game pretty much treat them as civilians. Maybe if we ever get a SEAF troop drop strat, they'll have a better AI by then.
I've seen some cases where they're very competent (taking out AT to fire at large enemies, even throwing grenades into ships when the shield is down to destroy them) and cases where they are very incompetent (literally dropping grenades at my feet) so they're basically on-par with the average player.

I would absolutely love to call in a SEAF pod to the battlefield. It would land like a Hellpod and deploy several SEAF troopers - maybe 3-5, depending on the size. They would defend the area until they died or follow you if you salute them. It would just be fun. Of course, they also need to be able to extract with you - I hate the idea of leaving SEAF troopers behind!

I especially love how they trigger my mines.

They are cool but they are relatively dopey and passive and feel a bit too EDF for me. But they have very occasionally taken out a fleshmob for me so i guess they can stay lol
