Leviathans need to be toned down
i get we're being invaded and that it has to be hard but the precision on leviathans is way too busted, it's not remotely fun being in it's vision radius and getting immediately sniped and oneshot

Indeed. I swear people complain first and learn how to play never. It's really not that complicated or difficult to kill these things or simply avoid them if you cannot. I've been genuinely perplexed this entire conversation (thread/topic) because I haven't had any issues with them whatsoever.

I've been killing them left and right, if I can't kill them or I'm out of ammo or I'm overwhelmed by ground forces, I simply avoid them and use the buildings for cover. I have not been one shot by them one time and I exclusively use light armor with the servo assisted perk for the longer throw range. Honestly, I just genuinely don't understand how these enemies really cause that much of a problem for people unless they are going out of their way to get killed or don't know how to play the game.
They one shot you?

All they do to me is take like 50% of my health off and ragdoll me. I have to waste stims constantly because of them until I yeet rockets at them.

They are annoying more than anything.

Maybe i was spectacularly unlucky but i was getting oneshot by them consistently yesterday, even while sprinting or flying around
improvise, adapt and overcome citizen.

They only one shot you if one of their artillery blasts directly impacts you, or if you are already fairly low and get caught in blast radius of one that just misses.

The annoying part is they can focus down fuse boxes and there is nothing you can do to stop that because you can't get under them to shoot them down on defense missions.

That ain't really a "git gud" moment when they're out of bounds shooting around/through walls hitting boxes and making you fail the mission.

I only use this build to kill leviathans. Eruptor, RR, Senator. Two shots take out a wing, three more shots in blue flames finish it off. The problem comes when three more come.
They shoot through buildings with surgical precision if you don't move. And you can't move enough with RR or AT. Plus they switch sides, which wastes even more shots to take them down.
All this time you should be covered by your teammates or you will have to be distracted by small mobs to clear the space.
This is where the problems come in. You don't have enough time to shoot them all down and they're still shooting through the gaps between the buildings at the generators even with shield (you can cover only one fuse btw).
Other missions do not cause me any problems except this one. And this is with a full build of anti-air + FRV for huge maps (you have to drive really fast to avoid getting killed by their killbox, but its doable).

That's their design goal, though. This video (the one I used to argue that Flesh Mobs are bad by design) offers conclusive evidence that Leviathans are not meant to be fought. You CAN, but it's a waste of time and ammo. That's a developer telling you that "you might not want to fight them". Like Fleshmobs, Leviathans are designed to be a waste of your time and ammo. We're slowly creeping back towards the "running away meta" of Launch.

This is the problem with discussing game design in Helldivers. A lot of stuff is badly designed on purpose.

My only real issue with them is that they sneak up despite being a giant sky tank. They frequently pop out from behind a building and start firing their ultra accurate one-shot-kill weapons without even seeing them approach.

There's a really quiet audio cue when they're around, but I feel like it could be a lot more obvious given how huge they are. Whatever SFX they have are drowned out by just about anything else happening around you.

it sniped me like 200m away with one shot so saying it is inaccurate is a bit far fetched, they don:t seem accurate because they arent focusing you, when they shift their target to you, you either hide or die.

you're really just being an ass for the sake of it, the thing barely has an audio cue which can make you get surprised by it in the middle of the chaos on diff 10, sure it's not the WORST THING EVER, but it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying how they were implemented

Lower the difficulty if the video game is too hard for you. (we have 10 difficulty levels for a reason :> )

Right now, it just eat too damage much AT.

Interesting flying mega elite tho.

Not much if you will shoot into wings and open blue wounds:
- x8 Commando rockets into wings
- x4-5 Wasps
- x3 Expendable AT (the most dmg support weapon in game)
- x8-12 AT Emplacements shells
