Correct. Saying the Ultimatum is “useless” when it oneshots literally every non-shielded enemy in the game—as a secondary weapon—is mind boggling. And “saving time” as an argument taken to its logical endpoint is “why isn’t there a button to instantly win the mission?” The Ultimatum removed gameplay elements (fighting without stratagems to take out the jammer directly) and trivialized one of the most well-designed subobjectives. If having to wait like 10-15 seconds for a Hellbomb to drop is too much for you, then I don’t know why you’d even bother playing non-Eradicate missions.
Fighting under a jammer to shut off the console was often one of the most challenging tasks in this game, and it was trivialized by that stupid thing.
If they're smart they wont change it back and all these gamers with ADD will forget it even existed.
