I hope we see Illuminate again.
Might be an unpopular opinion, but I actually enjoyed fighting illuminate. I think the thing I hated most about them was running into an arc tower I didn't see. lol

Even on SHD it felt like you got more room to breathe when you're trying to do extra stuff like hunt samples and check all POIs. Maybe that's why they were 'eliminated'. I thought it was weird there were only like 4 enemy types. Voteless had 3 variants (different HP amounts), overseers just had the lance guys and jetpack versions, then there was the watchers and harvesters.

Their patrols and swarms were usually easy to dispatch. Might've just been the planets I fought them most on.

Maybe it just depends on one player's play style to the next, since I see some people love fighting bots the most while others prefer bugs. Bugs I find the most annoying, especially predator strain. Bots I hate when it's incineration corps.

I doubt they put all the work into making them to permanently pull them from the game.
Are you a destiny 2 player?
Of course illuminate are coming back, this isn't bungie.

cant wait to see them coming back with full force

You realize we killed off the bots when they first arrived, too, right?

I'm gonna call it and say they're gonna come back on the major update set to come May 13th. The new warbond was meant to be an RP warbond, a whole warbond to show that Super Earth is being arrogant and celebrating too early.

I hope so!

I was thinking maybe when this next big patch lands they'll have a new campaign. I thought it was cool that they were encroaching on bug and bot territory a few times. I was hoping that would also mean we'd eventually get missions where you see more than one faction you'd have to deal with.

Kind of surprised the bugs and bots don't already clash, they don't seem to be allies. I never played the first one. A friend bought this game for me a couple weeks ago, so I've not idea what the 'normal routine' is. haha

It's a stupid ARG game where you're just sitting area looking a picture until the devs unlock the next step to it

Basically it's their hype train that's going to announce the squids coming back

Everyone knows they're coming back and everyone knows they'll be back soon and in force. So right now with all the hype from the devs saying that we'll poop ourselves on the 12/13th and then a ARG "game" that shows SE but with a single camera turned off that we're trying to 'fix' to see what it was looking at

More than likely it'll be a squid holding up a sign saying "squids rule, divers drool" and then we'll get all huffy and puffy and then something will happen

If we're doing far fetched imagine stuff, I bet the camera sees the Meridia black hole

Did you even read what I said?

You asked what station-81 was and I told you exactly what it was. What's with the insult?

Do you know what a ARG game is? If you don't then you're more than welcome to look it up, but it's basically a game that everyone is supposed to play in real life

The game is done in stages tho so you can only make progress when the devs unlock the next step, hence the staring a picture. If you actually clicked on the link and watched the ARG you'd understand instead of resorting to half baked insults

I'd say the wording made things come off as a little aggressive, even if unintended. From what I know other clues are out there, most likely in the discord since the live-stream is telling divers to report there for immediate tasking.

If it does show the Meridian, I'm willing to hedge a bet something will be coming from it on the feed. Maybe it'll show a massive squid ship slowly coming through, maybe a whole fleet of ships swarming out like angry hornets, or maybe something different than we anticipated.

No insult. Your answer was aggressive like you're either mad at the people who participate or mad at the developers for giving players something to follow if they're into the game enough.

I think it's a neat idea even if I don't participate. I like the progression system of the game because it's new to me, even if it feels like my own contribution doesn't really do much (kind of like how people feel about voting IRL lol).

I did click the link and didn't know what I was looking at, and even joined the Discord only to find it even more confusing. I attribute that to the fact that I never played until a couple weeks ago when a friend bought this game for me. haha

I've actually never heard of ARG games (that I can recall).

Sorry for insulting you, it wasn't intentional. :)

I type angrily ^_^

And yes I'm annoyed that it's on discord as I have a dislike for that platform but honestly it's way less interactive then they're making it out to be as there's only 4 steps and they're completed super quickly. It's mostly just been waiting for the next part

So really all you're doing is sitting there watching a live stream of pictures that hasn't done anything in over 12-15 hours

My best guess is that *tonight* is when the last part will unlock because that's closer to their 12/13th date that they said something will happen

The ARG is just their means of a hypetrain
