Suggestion: Make Final Liberation Zones feels like a Last Stand
As a dedicated Helldiver, one thing I'd love to see is a stronger sense of progression during a planet liberation, especially near full liberation. It would be amazing if areas that are on the verge of being freed reflect a more desperate, entrenched enemy presence making their final stand on a planet that rightfully belong to SUPER EARTH.

  • More Complex Battlefields: No more small and medium outposts as seen in regular battlefields, these late-stage missions could feature larger, heavily fortified enemy bases instead. Military complexes with interconnected structures, highways, coms towers, runway airfields. Dense infestation, sprawling hive tunnels and massive bug holes that aren't just mission objectives, but persistent hazards scattered across the terrain, that spawn enemies showing just how deeply rooted they are. Think of the settlements maps, but instead of a Super Earth city, it's an anti-democratic, militaristic and totalitarian city.

  • Major Enemy Assets on the field: Picture massive Automaton capital ships hovering ominously overhead or landed on the battlefield. Or for the bugs, huge spore ships/rocks embedded in the landscape. Serving as a visual reminded that this region is both their landing point, but also their last line of defense. The enemy could be the one throwing stratagems at us like sudden drops or orbital strike on our location from time to time.

Tbh, I think this would not only deepen immersion but also make victories on these worlds feel more earned. Let the enemy look like they've been here a while and make us fight tooth and nail to take it back.

Yeah it'd be neat to have a dynamic "Fortification level" for planets both for us and the enemy.

Also, what's the point of all this "facility" ♥♥♥♥ when it's not got any baring on the planet map at all? Is it just to say that's there? Boring. I want to see these facilities or key locations reflected at the very least as a distant facility visible planetside also reflecting the current liberation of the world.

Like sure we're Helldivers we go behind enemy lines or whatever but there's gonna be a major element on the planet we should be fighting for. So it's not just a bloody barren rock or a bit of flavour text. I want to SEE our impact and give these planets more personality than a name and biome.
