How did we lose Turing to the Bugs??
I was online not 12 hours ago and defended Turing against the Illuminates. Now the Planet is already in Bug hand?

During midnight from 23.04 to the 24.04. (German Timezone (UTC +2 i think)) we have been defending Turing. Thats when i logged out. However, the morning at arround like 10 am the Planet was already lost to the bugs? Eagle storm was shown to be only a few hours away

How did this happen? Usually an attack lasts at least 12 hours. How can we defend against the Illuminates in one moment and the next moment i watch the map the planet belongs already to the Bugs? Did we skip the defend order against the bugs? Are devs cheating on us (again)?

I cant explain the latest developments. Someone pls explain how we can go through two defense missions within less than 12 hours.

Blame JOEL
Yeah that is extremely weird. I was wondering about that as well. Extremely lazy cheat GMing from JOEL maybe?
I don't care. I like fighting predator strain on any planet other than that green foggy Esker. And predator bugs are back :resizegeometric5: makes me wanna have fun

Go get em, bugdiver! :)

I prefer bots and squids all day every day, but at least I've come around to being able to enjoy fighting the bugs instead of it being massively sucky 100% of the time.
We failed to hold the planet, Illuminate failed to hold it against bugs.

If you check the stats, there was never going to be enough progress to hold the planet. IT wasn't going to happen.

Which is weird. When i signed off it told me eagle storm ready in estimated 4 hours. I thought it would help defending both planets under attack by illuminates since both attacks just started.

Did they delay the eagle storm by like 10 hours as well?

Nothing matters, don't think, just consume content and get excited for new content.
Well it's things like this that feels like nothing we do in the game matters. We win scenarios, then it's just a flick of a switch for things to be undone and all for naught.

None of the fights / battles we win seem to matter, the more players who are on then each individual's contribution decreases as a percentage, which is what the game works on, rather than the actual number of people fighting.
victories should lock-in that planet for whoever wins it for 24 hours minimum and force the next fights to circumvent it.
alas this is helldivers, where the biggest downside of the game is the devs insistence on minimising player impact and picking the most convoluted option for what should be a brutally simple response to an ongoing issue.
we should be getting 2-03 new objective tile layout-variants per month and special-forces enemies should be on-map for a couple of days so more people get a chance to fight them, but wheres the fun in letting more people experience the content that;'s been added when you can just tug-o-war the same low-visibility planets every day with copy-paste repeat objectives and weighted-RNG enemy "formation" allocation.

Failing to repel the Illuminate on planets with important infrastructure creates issues for us. Turing has the Xenoentomology centre, which was housing live specimens. Illuminate damaged the facilities, bugs got out and took over. It does say this in dispatch.
I do think we should've been given a chance to contain the escapees but even then there's a good chance we would have lost it considering the MO and a lot of people's general dislike of bugdiving.

This whole MO is just having JOEL dunk on the players

It also goes to show the devs are liars too! They made a big deal in the past when we had MO with 1-2 billion kills required and the devs said "oh we can't change the numbers on the fly" yet on this MO every planet we take over they drop the requirement by 250k each time.
Yup, just a treadmill to keep people playing with minimal impact.

Just let them get to Super Earth, see what the devs do then.
who cares. If all players stop playing Superearth will never fall
Nothing you do matters on galactic war. The devs ignore all efforts and force their narrative. Play the small game or you will not enjoy this.

its a compelling narrative
