ngl i like cookout more because of the stronger stagger, strong enough to stagger medium units like overseers and stalkers

cookout
Cookout has stagger and deals more damage, also has medium pen I believe, Breaker Incendiary has less damage, ammo, no stagger but is more for spamming around.
Cookout
Can stagger
Good damage
Single round reload ok thats a good and bad thing
Depends on what you're trying to do.

Breaker inc is faster. Mag load, burst fire, and overall I'm pretty sure it's a lighter weapon.

The cookout on the other hand is punchier. It only fires one shot at a time, it staggers enemies, it's heavier, and it does better damage.

They both have their perks. It's just a matter of playstyle.
cookout for ground targets breaker for flying ones fr though just focus on applying the DOT you get rather than focusing on the flat #'s and both are great lol

Cookout never made much sense to me. I see no reason to use it over a regular punisher.

If the goal is to set things on fire, breaker incendiary gives the most application. Not sure what the goal is to use a cookout. Everything small enough to bother killing with fire is overkilled by the actual pellets, everything else you might as well be killing with a normal punisher.
Breaker. You want the maximum number of enemies on fire. With breaker you ignite an entire swarm in a couple of seconds.

Cookout is pointless, if you go single target, get the normal punisher

I've felt that for close combat stagger/ CC, blitzer is optimal. Breaker Incd is great for shriekers, low class bugs. Cookout is the middle ground between the two in some way. Often, I appreciate the stagger (stalkers/ commander charges) with utility of clearing shriekers, but its not the best for focused fire like the blitzer vs commanders or stalkers. Ideally: switching between cookout & blitzer + stalwart + Expendable or scorcher, supply pack & QC for bugs. These kits consistently get me 450+.

Something else to consider is the Cookout is a rounds reload type weapon, where the Breaker Incendiary feeds from a drum magazine. If you quickly hit reload after every shot from the Cookout, you are basically just feeding from your entire load of shells and are always topped off, whereas the Breaker has a reload that can put a player under some pressure if things are too close. Both have fairly limited ammunition reserves.

Against bugs, the Cookout is very good at staggering Stalkers, and you can hold a number of them at bay simultaneously. The Breaker Incendiary can be quite good for just lobbing a few rounds over an entire patrol of small trash and letting them burn to death, but it has lost some of its luster. It also hits pretty soft against mediums, although the Cookout isn't a lot better. I agree with the above though that the Blitzer is outstanding for dealing with close masses of small enemies, since it hits quite hard against them, has no ammunition concerns, you don't really need to aim, and it staggers / stuns or outright kills medium enemies.

One thing that is fairly bad about all these weapons is they are risky to fire near your buddies. The Breaker Incendiary and Blitzer are the worst, but it's not hard for some pellets from the Cookout to hit a friendly you weren't aiming for.

Technically the breaker has more damage potential but the cookout can bully so pretty much every thing on the bug front. You can like hard carry with a cookout against bugs, its kinda nuts.
Cookout is better then the breaker incendiary due to the reasons people have listed above, e.g stagger (especially against alpha commanders/stalkers), round reload (so no wasted ammo), and I feel more efficient then the breaker incendiary. Imo, it's better then the punisher too, in regards to bugs

There are a few reasons for why it's better, one reason is due to it's spray, it has wider spray, so it can hit shriekers very easily, and the fire dot will kill them over time since there hp is quite low. Whereas punisher you have to be accurate with your shots to kill shriekers, as if you don't kill them with the first shot, there is no dot to help you kill them over time, so it takes your focus away from other enemies. The wider spray also allows you to kill wilburs without having to pay too much mind. In a sense, the cookout is much more forgiving then the punisher.

Second, is because of the flaming projectiles as they can act as a sort of range finder, as they're bright glowing projectiles, especially if you're trying to rain fire on some enemies from farther away then normal.
Cookout for bots. it can crowd control a whole squad of devastators AND eventually kill them.

Breaker for bugs.
breaker can spam at distance and lob the fire dots at trash mobs

fire and forget = dead
