Uninstalling and Re-installing is faster than patching

I love Helldivers 1 and Helldivers 2. I've got hundreds of hours on both. But SWEET LIBERTY, the patch times are terrible. Yes, I'm putting it on an SSD with plenty of space, and even re-testing with installing on a HDD, it was still faster than patching the SSD.

I don't know what this has to do with optimization, file compression, or the like, but my goodness, every time I see a patch over 1 GB, I just uninstall, and reinstall again.

I'll just go make a coffee and wait for my warship The Fist of Family Values to reappear to yet again fight for Super Earth
