We'll probably never know for sure, since no one will ever take it.
For all I know, that's exactly what it does, but like I said, we'll never know cuz no one will ever use it.
Assuming my findings are consistent with what others observe, I would rate this booster as being very poor. I suggest that the drop rate may be too low, and the limit of 10 per mission seems onerous. Considering this is seemingly intended to help lower level players gather more samples to upgrade their ships, and it requires sacrificing a mission useful booster, it should be a bit more helpful.
it would be amazing if the booster was for super credits instead. and it increases chance of finding that rare 100 super credits by 2%
or just let us find 1 tiny super credit in the enemy we kill
its a bait booster for new players.
whoever brings this instead of a useful booster is just gonna have a bad time.
10 extra samples for a new player is not worth not bringing a better booster.
There are many new players since the game was on sale during the last few Steam sales (and on PSN).
It causes them to drop Common Samples. 10 max per mission
Supposedly it doesn't work on missions that normally don't provide samples, like that exact mission.
