Is AMD 7900 XTX supported yet?
This game has never worked on AMD 7900 XTX GPU, it crashes constantly, randomly, and unpredictably. There are 100 "fixes" from forcing a lower framerate to playing in a window and messing with low-end settings like Cool Mode on the highest end card from AMD.

Over a year ago the devs had a page on their zendesk pointing out that the game was unplayable but their customer support did nothing to offer any advice, fixes, patches, or even refunds as they claim only Sony can do that.

So now that a year has gone by, have they actually addressed the 7900 XTX issues? I haven't seen any patch notes regarding this GPU and last I checked they mysteriously removed the zendesk article.

Game resolution 1440p . The game runs at 135 fps.
I think the game is mostly CPU dependent, not GPU dependent though tbf so that could be causing OPs issues, but at the same time I highly doubt it as I run a 3700X and OP runs a 5800X. I'm genuinely at a loss, any update OP?

I'm on a 7800x3D and i crash pretty rarely. Which is a huge improvement over the past.
Will check it out this weekend, don't mean to keep people in suspense!

If you use mods, try purging them all in the mod manager too.

This game barely functioned vanilla, I assure you I wouldn't dare mod it, lol.

Over 4 hours of the game crashing every multiplayer run and I got 0xp. That's not exactly a fun time. And the devs refused to refund the game, they said only Sony can do that, Valve said I played too long as well. But sure, it works for one person that I've ever heard claim they have 7900 XTX and it doesn't crash.

No need to act like it's such a simple thing, there are more posts about it NOT working than anyone has ever shared it was fixed.

For the crash I got, maybe, a solution: I put my 7900XTX at 2400mhz and undervolt at 1050. No crash so far. The bad side of the coin that I can't get over 70 fps (all other games run very well even on underclock/undervolt with no performance lost). Dunno if the last patch bring more misery on AMD card or the new 25.3.2 Adrenalin are not big friend with the game or both. I'll hate go back to 24.12 release since the latest drivers work very well with everything, minus this game.

Any updates?
I got distracted by Schedule I launching this weekend and didn't try out HD2, however I did just get a response from Arrowhead support finally today. Seems like they are still admitting that the GPU is unsupported but they had a few suggestions which you guys on Steam had covered pretty well already:

Greetings Helldiver,
Sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue. We have received reports of players with AMD graphics cards experiencing issues with performance. We are currently investigating this with AMD and are trying to be find a solution for this. As of yet we don't currently have a fix for this by know we are aware of this. Below are some steps for you to try to solve this issue. Should these not work for you, unfortunately there isn't anything players support can do at this time other than ask for your patience whilst we work with AMD to find a solution.

Within AMD Adrenaline Software

Enable Hyper RX Eco Mode

On External Applications

Turn Off hardware acceleration on discord
On steam added the launch option --use-d3d11

ON Helldivers 2

Turn off Anti-aliasing
Turn Off Global Illumination
Lock frames to 60

May you continue to spread freedom and democracy,

Moni

I think it's not just 7900 xtx issue, but some sort of a problem with AMD GPUs and this game in general. I recently upgraded my old rig, which was running a Ryzen 5 3600 with a 5700xt for a GPU. Last fall/winter, I started to have either GPU timeout crashes, or crashes that would either crash the game to desktop or blackscreen it so that I had to restart the whole pc.

Never found a working solution for it. And I'm 99% sure it wasn't because my computer was crap (which it started to be), since I could run the game for over 6 months without any issues, nor did those issues occur with any other game at that time.

EDIT: ah mevermind, it was in the reply. But it's a sorry state of business, since those AMD issues having been existing in my experience for the last 5 months or so.
