fire deva is ok, but for all the people complaining i think it d be fair if shotgun the deva had was a 2-handed weapon. A pump action one at that

I don't think being mass surrounded by enemy that can potentially one shot you from every direction , no matter how far , is "ok".
As for the shield, the shield doesn't matter to me since I am using Scorcher which has explosive and medium penetration properties anyway, but I get for those who are using lighter weapons to have longer time to take out the shieldies.

I mean, that's what they did with the jump pack. "Oh, it's not useful enough? Okay, we'll shorten its cooldown, but we'll also make you ragdoll comically when you do anything but land on perfectly flat ground with it"
