Is the new LAS-58 talon (revolver) bugged, or am I missing something?
Half the time when I pull it out, it won't shoot. I have to press fire multiple times to get a single shot off and it's really inconsistent. No, it's not my mouse. Every other weapon I try rapid firing with works fine. It's only this one. Half the time it works perfectly and fires as fast as I pull the trigger, and other times it will barely fire at all. I can't find anyone else talking about this. What gives?

some lazer guns over heat and need time to recharge instead of having ammo

Personally I haven't had it misfire even once.

Just curious, are you running Linux as your OS?
Alamo Turtle 21 MAR a las 7:16 p. m.
it has an annoying ~.100 ms charge-up, so virtually you should be able to rapid fire, but if you're a fast clicker, you miss it.

You're probably thinking of other weapons, the Talon has no charge up.

That might be the problem. It's weird though because sometimes I can spam it super fast.

I assure you, it's virtually unnoticeable in most other situations, but if you click from a sprint for instance, it may not shoot because of this VERY miniscule charge-up. It's a bit icky, but after figuring it out, it's easy to get used to just clicking a bit heavier to account for it.

I have been using it plenty, there is zero charge up.

You sure you're not getting any input lag?

I tried it myself, they're not joking when they say it is "VERY miniscule", I had to basically use a feather touch on my mouse to trigger the charge-up without actually firing.

It might have to do with an animation cancel being involved with it, since if you switch from primary to secondary, you may twirl the pistol before being ready to shoot. Holding down the aim button bypasses this, but the ani-cancel may still cause a miniscule delay.

Only thing i've noticed otherwise is that rapid firing at center mass can sometimes cause a shot not to register, whether it's in 3rd or first person and the target is near or far. Just kind of whiffs sometimes. If I parse the shots, then there's no issues. (Which i'm usually doing as not to build heat)

Not surprised it happens either, given the other weapons having whiff issues that haven't been addressed.

It becomes a problem in laggy situations, but yes, it can do that. It's annoying.

For me it does kind of have a weird delay thing. I think it has something to do with being a lazer gun.

Same problem. I can't shoot fast, which is abnormal for a western/cowboy pistol. But whith a r-63 diligence I can shoot fast

It's more noticeable if you're experiencing fluctuating fps. I've had issues went through and reoptimized deleted the shader cashe etc. The spool up feels like it's tied to fps and is probably unintentional.

When I miss shots, I see sparks on the barrel, so I first thought it was some sort of trigger timing gameplay. Apparently not
