Devs are banning all "datamined" hard info
As of today, by Community Manager dictate, hard data like weapon durable damage, Galactic War liberation rate data, enemy health and armor values, enemy damage regions, all that, is nuked off the official server. Exhillious and Roy, two community members responsible for a HUGE service of finding & collating info for the players, just got their work un-sanctioned retroactively.

Those of you who weren't in the official discord server might not care so much, but that info was of serious help to folks trying to understand the hard numbers of the game, as well as catching stealth-changes that no patch notes disclosed (like Vitality booster having been nerfed recently, or the Ballistic Shield recently losing some of its armor value). And all of that has been barred from the official server.

the official discord for this game is basically actively trying to be the most useless place in the community to the point I would just recommend not engaging at all with it. AH's core feedback will be player numbers and community content creators. those people really can't be silenced and usually take the community criticism and filter it into a way that AH will find "acceptable". if they decide to listen to the little army of yes men in their "official discord server" then the game will likely decline back to pre 60 day plan levels and the money from warbonds will start to dry up again.

not being able to discuss datamined statistics in a game that is knowledge based like hd2, is basically brain rot. literally almost all meaningful discussion about helldivers is surrounding the data mined numbers because otherwise its all just talking about "vibes".

"they dont want this to be spreadsheet divers" well its too late, there are already widely available spreadsheets on basically every single thing and this isn't going to change anything. this is a knowledge based game, spreadsheets are part of that package deal. they exist and nothing the community managers or AH do can change that.

TLDR: join a community discord server like ghost divers.

Still never seen solid evidence of this, just someone saying that they tested it at a certain point and found the actual value wasn't what was displayed and then people 'claiming' that it used to be different.

I'm not saying it wasn't the case, I've just never seen any real evidence for it other than one video which was all circumstantial.

You don't think a little thing like truth is going to stand in the way of a good complaint do you?
It's really sad that people instead playing the game and roleplaying spacemarines without fancy mutations and arsenal brining E-sport PvP cancer into PvE game. There they will invent and blame anything to avoid admit the lose, because someone just better than them, they made mistake or just unlucky. No, they will blame mythological ping abusers, blame random, demand to nerf lucky shots (seriously, it's not that rare).
I see this crap in steam forums of Helldivers 2 from L people constantly. Game too easy, so they can't flex, game too hard they can't flex, devs broke their meta, so they can't flex, devs hid stats, so they can't flex. Heck, they are whining that CPU player programmed to lose to you are cheating! Utterly loser's behavior.

People really need move into ranch and do a lot of labor work so their brains would unrot.
Spreadsheets and min-maxing have never been PvP exclusive?

Spreadsheet people are more like EVE players I guess.
MinMaxing is for people who have a compulsion to win bigly, rather than have conventional fun.
To them, big numbers = big fun:
- A lot of jRPGs and far east isometric arpgs cater for that.
- in the west, it's the people who still stare at post-mission stats

or people just want to know what the weapons do and what the updates do to them?

But like, so I get this right: datamined info should still make to places like wikies, with numbers and all, correct?

The wikis will still have all that info, yes, the developers just banned it from the biggest way to share that information around easily.

disingenuous. (often to themselves)
enough info is published and people learn from using it.. why HD2 never gave a firing range.

HD2 is a game of "brohurt", not a "chessboard".

Darktide got rid of end-game summaries.. people threw a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ - even in a PvE with no friendly fire.
- They claimed "we just want to know what works and get better"
- Soon after, lots of accusations of stealing kills etc.
i dont look at the numbers i just use what i want and if i dont like it i dont use it. But i dont see how making information harder to get is good for anybody that's not trying to be shady.

You know whether you like it in live-fire while getting your face caved in, not on a firing range with ear defenders (which is why HD2 never had one).

what?

When it says LightPen, MedPen, HeavyPen, AntiTank.
- you don't need to know if that was in Imperial or Metric.
- point it at a bit that looks breakable, pull the trigger, duck.

im pretty sure there was a weapon with inaccurate penetration information. And yes it is important to know if its imperial or metric because the numbers would be different, though i dont know what that has to do with anything in the game.

This is how the game is supposed to be played.
You aren't RoboCop or Terminator.
