Same as with first games.Besides not eveyone can farm or afford warbonds.
I know whta you mean and i love this armor as well and i felt proud for the effort to farm it as well.But it WOULD BE ALSO nice and cool to get something after every 10 levels or smthing.This is my point.And i am taking a straight example from first game which also had paid DLCs.But also gave you something you when you level up.
If you remember you had to get to a certain level to be able to buy certain stratagems from the requisition console. If I remember correctly the Mech was locket behind level 20 for example.
So why not do it for later levels, I heard you asking. The answer is simple. The levels from 40 upwards get super duper grindy. About 250 hzours of total playtime nets me roughly level 70. So locking anything behind for example level 80 would be a very hefty time demand by the devs to the player.
In a sense, that would go against the spirit of the game. So far the devs have put in small grinds like getting 300 Medals total for a page 3 unlock of a warbond. It might take you a couple of days, but thats it. There has been no rewards behind month-long grinding for a reason.
I think Bellular said it best on his news channel when he stated: "Helldivers 2 respects the players time". High level unlocks would simply make this statement untrue and would alienate a lot of casual Helldivers.
or a special cape at lvl 100. like "DEMOCRACY PROTECTOR" or something
Change your badges if you want.
RequisitionDockets and Medals can't buy skill.
For me, I would like to freeze my level at minimal all unlock instead. Hate to be judge as skill diver when I drop in because the level keep increasing non stop while I still learn a lot of thing. I'm forever Cadet!
