It feels largely unfinished. You should be able to store an item in the back of the truck but can't. If you could do that, i wouldnt mind not being able to carry an item and drive, but that kills it for solo play when you need to carry an objective in its current state.
Relying on a teammate to realise that i cant carry an objective and then get out to pick it up is just... crazy man. Especially seeing as I can't ping things properly while driving. The way the camera / pinging system works, I'm pinging the HMG attachment on the back of the car most of the time. It really feels so bad without the ability to swap seats and carry it yourself as the driver.
Being able to swap seats to shoot as the driver with a weapon like the RR or wasp is a skill required feature to driving the car, in my opinion, that separates someone who is low skilled at games, with someone who is high skilled at games, and if they just remove it, I'll be disappointed in them if they don't fix the car's ability to hold items first.
You can swap seats just push "C"
yeah I know that bro
currently if you get into the passenger seat, press C to swap to driver, and then swap back to passenger, you can fire your RR from the window, and if you do this with objective equipment like SSD and black box, you can drive while carrying it.
What I am saying is that I hope they don't remove this. Because getting into the driver seat first with RR doesnt let you shoot from window when you swap, and doesn't let you carry objective. So what's happening is clearly a glitch.
I'm also saying that there's an incomplete feature with the car that lets you store an item in the back, so if they don't finish that before fixing that 'glitch' I will be disappointed.
Check some video's play on Diff 1 and just get a feel for the car, see the settings and look how the mechanics work. Biggest tip is just don't go full gas on startup cause you will slide.
Take some time to practice it, also not every planet and terrain is good for the car.
But i get it people blame the dev's because it's easier than saying you are bad at driving.
bro your wheel can get stuck in the ground causing you to have a desync physics explosion that launches it 30 feet into the air spinning like crazy resulting in half the team dying.
This is not a case of git gud skill issue. They added this car into the game in a hugely unfinished state. If anything to learn from this developer is that they do this commonly. Then sweep in for weeks afterwards fixing and patching.
This is not Helldrivers 1.0. As with anything that gets added, we're basically beta testing it.
Wow well that sound like a you problem my man, if it happens to you that often just don't drive problem solved. Also if it happens to you alot just record it see where it happens replicate the "bug" that's causing it for you, share it online see what treads you can post it.
Do that and if more people have the same thing going on they have more reason to look at it and fix it.
If you really dislike it you don't have to use it, nobody is forcing you to punish yourself driving it.
It needs cargo space- let me throw some weapons and extra supply/ammo boxes in the back, the black box ect. We used humvees in Iraq, and always had something extra in the back- a couple AT4's, something or Expendable anti-tank rockets in helldiver terms.
If i'm bringing the guntruck then its gotta be able to function as a one. but as it is, its way too dicey to have everyone shooting and scooting without TK's. It doesn't have enough features to make it a good battlewagon yet, its a start but the days of roleplaying Generation Kill with it are not here yet
