I dont like fighting Illuminates

I like the city maps a lot, but Illuminate are kind of boring.

Same there, for now they are boring to fight, they was funny on the first assault, now it's just boring. Also i can't end a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ match after they did the "fix for crash" -.- i get send back to ship each 5 min in every match vs illuminate.

well, yeah. switching between fighting other factions can break up the monotony... but the major order is also the priority.

Yeah, they are by far the least fun faction imo. Overseers just being bullet sponges with no armor just makes for a very boring and annoying enemy to fight.
i enjoy fighting the squids, they're neat, the one thing i dislike is that the overseers and jetpack dudes can feel kinda tanky at times.

They are as easy to kill as the normal ones. I do not get it why people seemingly have troubles with them.

Easier. Two or three shots to the jetpack and they’re done.

Yeah, the maps are the best part of the new update I'd say, hope we get them with the other factions soon. The illuminates... without the crosshair bug where it gets stuck on objects, in this case the overseer's ablative armor, I'd like them a lot more.

I love fighting the zombies, I love driving the car, I love the city maps. Every other enemy feels like it was designed to piss us off.

Ragdoll spamming overseer with staff.

Immortal flying overseer with the plasma rifle of 'manageable spike damage'.

Annoying scout reinforcement calling unit who what a guess can do it from behind buildings or while phasing into the damn floor behind that's fair.

Enemies taking multiple headshots or weakspot hits to bring down unless you use the AMR.

Shielded heavy walker with lying glowing eyeball non-weakspot, actual ambiguous knee joint weakspot, arc launcher for when you're close, one shot sniper laser for when you're afar. Who is also just the right height to hide behind the buildings if you're street level, meaning you can't get a good shot on it unless you climb.

Playing against lots of the illuminate, after playing Earth Defence Force 4.1, makes me feel like the developers played that game and said whoa, we're having too much fun here. For our game, we want to have at least 70% less fun.

But the zombies and cars makes up for it xD

But even then, the way zombies spawn / attack you just locks you into using fart grenades, strike, and at least one turret.

It's not like we're really out here having fun with varied builds against this faction. Everything has 1 or 2 guns / ways to do correctly and everything else feels like a chore.

Like using the arc armour + flamethrower and getting in harvesters faces. Sure you can do that but after you've done it you'll be like why did I do that instead of something that doesn't make me feel like I'm going to have a heartattack?

I don't like fighting the Illiminate mostly because they're clearly unfinished. They have like three actual units - Voteless, Overseer, Harvester - with some minor variations. They have one side objective of "giant obelisk" done in multiple flavours. There's just not much to them - not enough to really justify playing them repeatedly. Once in a while, sure. But right now, they just need "the other half" of their faction.

On one hand, we have this cool eureka feeling moment when we discover what works against this faction, but going through what doesn't work is a chore. And ultimately, we're left with a handful of things that work, and many things that don't - which is where we were before our guns were buffed a few weeks ago.

Wonder how long it's gonna take for people to start waking up to that.

In a group I'm having good fun playing with shield relay, HMG + peak physique and supply pack, with the car. When a fight starts, shield relay for the team means they can nuke any of the enemy down with impunity from behind it. With the HMG and supply pack I can always be deleting shields and hitting harvester weakspots + killing overseers.

Experimenting solo is where I'm running into the stress. Just finding out this doesn't work because I need this, or that doesn't work because I need that. Feels horrible honestly lmao. Like trying that build I mentioned above solo. You need a turret. Then you take the things that work and it's a boring cakewalk. Orbital laser and the problem is gone. Turret and everything gets annihilated + harvesters are taunted and can be shot easily. This mechanic extends to mines too which is interesting. I wonder if the meta will be to having someone throwing cheap mines off to the side in every battle.
