It's one of the first things i noticed when i started playing this game

I saw it on a YouTube channel, I think Eravin's. But yes, it does slightly increase the rate at which it rises, and stacks if other players do it too.

The catch is that you'll need someone or turrets to protect you while you do this, because of the enemy spawn when this happens. Otherwise you'll constantly be pulling away to fight.
