Your Stratagem ideas?
What are some of your not-too-over-the-top ideas for Stratagems? Thought, it could be interesting to hear some fancy ideas of what everyone would like.

Personally, I would like some stuff that is not "Make stuff go boom" "Drop stuff to use it" or "Drop thing who does things automatically".

Since we are still lacking, and prolly never getting these cool Helmet functions they wanted to give us initially, I would like something like...

Active Destroyer Support: Access the Destroyers view from above for a time. While using the eye from above your body is defenseless, but you can access a variety of sub skills, such as:

-Shoot a beacon towards the ground that highlight all enemies, spawners and collectibles in a certain area around the beacon. Something so that we can finally combat the ever present fog on nearly every planet

-Take manual control of a Gatling Barrage. It would be so darn satisfying to bombard bugs yourself with that barrage.

-Drop a Fog Repeller that creats a clear, unobstructed zone where you need it. Yeah, I hate fog, how could you tell?

These skills would prolly all have their own cooldowns, or they add up if you use all skills at once. I would just like a birds eye view with a very short cooldown that let's me scout ahead

Also something that is still missing: Distractions. Let me shoot a flare that emits heat, noise and scent of Helldivers so that we can redirect patrols or objective defenders for a lil while.

There is A LOT more stuff I would love to see, but what are some of your democratic ideas?

Heavy rocket barrage from a gunship (possibly a few styles: HE, fragmentation, Incendiary)

Close air support from a gunship that last a minute or two

Airburst rocket rifle, similar to the crossbow in damage but with a proximity fuse and a little higher ammo count

Overwatch artillery that fires on any enemy that enters a marked area for a minute

I always thought it would be cool to have a vehicle bay you can call in. Essentially a large emplacement that you can bring mechs or vehicles to, in order to rearm and repair damage.
For balancing, it could slowly repair/rearm over time, and only when no one is in it. That way you can't just cheese it for infinite health and ammo.

I also think some general fortification stratagems would be cool. Small barricades or pillboxes to give extra cover. Plus, since the ground can be deformed, you could even have some that are dug into the ground slightly. Like a shallow trench line or something.
Would only be helpful against bots though, and only in specific circumstances, but cool never the less.

Allegedly there was a leak of a wall with an MG mounted on it that someone spawned in. So fortifications may be in the future.

I hope so, because there was this one mission where we reinforced an extraction point like a castle and I've been riding that high for a while

I'm not in the Helldivers Reddit or Discord, so I can't do much about that. Do feel free to let Arrowhead know about all these ideas, though. I'm merely interested in hearing some cool ideas.

Speaking of which, I would absolutely love a Engineer Kit, one that let's you do some proper trench warfare by digging trenches, building barricades or fortifying turrets. We already have the Directional and Ballistic Shield. Now give me some stationary shields that don't immediately fold when a Hulk looks our direction

i really, really, _really_ want stratagems that can be lased for.

I don't even care if it's not an attachment or if the laser replaces a secondary, I want to lase targets for a destroyer to hit.

a controllable drone (kinda like the UCAV from BF4) that you can control. id imagine it as a mortar with a single bomb drone in it, 3 minute cool down, you control it through the screen on your stratagem screen. that or we finally see those missile battery's on the super destroyer getting put to use

i would really like deploy able cover/ barbed wire trenches and those seaf solider reinforcements would be cool, and i want the motorcycle fro the first game back.

A mech with laser beam cannons attached to each arm and plasma mortar barrage system attached on the back. With left click firing the cannons, and right click launching the mortars.

An orbital scan that outlines special and heavy enemies even through terrain, cover or other obstacles

A buddy drone or equippable exosuit that allows carrying heavy objects unimpeded, wielding any weapon as a one handed weapon, remotely interfacing with terminals or potentially opening bunkers alone.

The REP-80 Medic Gun from Helldivers 1, giving you a support weapon that can heal allies and vehicles.

In the same line as the REP-80 the Angel Guard Dog, one that stims Helldivers automatically when they reach critical health. Or an alternative that FTL jumps to allied divers when they would normally die, instantly shielding and stimming them instead.

A stim strike/barrage that creates a lingering cloud of damage-dampening, health regenerating and absolutely non-addictive aerosolized stimulant.

More fortifying Strats would be awesome.

barbed wire fields for slowing enemies and killing fodder until they're destroyed by a heavy going over them.

A barricade with a machine gun would be nice.

Stun or sticky mines? Locking down a bunch of enemies in a field for easy killing would be quite cool, even if it's inferior to straight up killing them.

TOW ATGM inspired emplacement call in can 1-2 shot Factory striders, slowish reload with a limited magazine (like 4 missiles).

SPG-9 inspired emplacement unguided rocket with heavy armour pen essentially just a Recoil less as an emplacement but a really fast reload maybe with a new ammo type.

Eagle Heavy strike. Inspired by World in conflict heavy air strike essentially just a player callable eagle storm but its limited area maybe either limited uses or really long cool down and disallows the usage of single eagles so to keep single eagle strikes relevant. More of an area suppression stratagem allowing for retreating. (rockets, bombs, clusters, no 500 though.)

Micro SAM auto turret. An automatic anti air turret can two shot gunships / wipe out shrieker hordes maybe also target flying illuminate troops.

Fuel Air bomb. Also inspired by world in conflict. More effective against biologic enemies large air burst area effect less destructive against structures so it can allow emplacements to survive maybe.

MRLS strike, Massive area of effect 90mm HE rockets similar to a 120 just weaker but with way faster cooldown longer lasting impact time.

Propaganda strike (more of a joke strat) Airburst letterbombs filled with super earth propaganda forces enemies to retreat blocks any attempt to call reinforcements in the area debuffs enemies as well for a short period of time.

I want a guard dog with a loudspeaker that plays the Super-Earth anthem on repeat just like the flag raising missions.
