From my experience i would'n say they kick you, i usually disconnected because host left the game)

But if you kicked after dive, probably you make some critical mistakes such as:
- agring patrols
- walking alone leaving your team without support
- pick up more than one Ammo Box from resupply drop
- too often hit your teammates accidentally
It's team game

Mine most used reason why I kick a players - they bring a large horde of enemies on mine steps. I without troubles do solo all objectives at SHD, and nevertheless always glad to have help on my side... But, when some random dude brings a bloody army of enemies, because he can't kill them or escape, and now objective spot more look like a sht storm, which almost impossible to finish, that's a right way to be kicked. Especial with detection towers, just yesterday was a dude, who constantly has been spotted by them (there was 2 of em, and near of each other) with almost infinite armada of bots and dude just followed me with them, restrict mine maneuver with horde and I not was able to destroy these towers until I kick him, escaped the crowd and successfully without any serious opposition blowed up them.

I don't care if some player died 5-7 times in the row, sht happens.

I don't care if someone destroyed only one OP while I clear half of map for this time, slow but steady - thats a right way to learn.

I don't care if you called res which I needed more, I can manage without it for the next few minutes.

I don't care if you can't manage with heat. Just die as a hero, I will reinforce you in some safe place, and you will continue to do what you're done before with fresh start.

But - Do Not Make Job Harder That It Supposed To Be.:BErage:

i got a 9-5 to go to and can only play for one 40 minute game. sorry kiddos...
Sent an invite, I'm happy to play with people who WANT to have help and hate kick-happy fools who abuse the feature for no good reason.

I frequently play solo and switch to public with an sos when needed and ideally DONT want people sticking after directly telling them to leave...so I just started kicking without say. Thinking of changing that policy because most players actually seem cool here unlike most co-op games.

HD2 is not a "team game" in the sense that we should always be cuddling together from objective to objective.
Splitting up allows for far better map coverage/speed clearing and that's a fact, now if someone keeps splitting up and dying every 3 minutes, that is not a problem of "being a team", it's a problem of being bad.

Can't agree even more. Some think they were kicked without any reason, but the truth is - it's almost always is. It's not a "team game", it's not because I got witness dozens of cases when "team" just stood their ground in the middle of nowhere, struggling in spiral of death, against enemy reinforcements, which calls reinforcements, which calls reinforcements and so on in endless loop until all our reinforcements is not depleted.

It's NOT HARD to get to a nearest narrow passage between rocks / big trees / street, drop gas nade or two, smoke, incendiary or just left there one diver to cover retreat of rest of the team and without extra problems start do objectives. Even simple vipe of team, can be better in tactical perspective.

But many players do not do this, they just continue to endlessly fight with enemies in the game, which does not give any extra reward for a large amount of exterminated enemies. They continue to fight until a mission is failed or someone do the job.

It's "team game" when you do your part in objectives, if you want to just shootin-tootin enemy and not be kicked - do not get into 7 - 10 difficulties or host by yourself, but do not be surprised when most of the players are leave you, because you just happy-trigger.

connection issues are causing a lot of this

I think some people will just kick everyone after a mission instead of leaving. Had a game the other day where we finished, game went pretty smooth, no excessive aggro, went reasonably fast, few deaths and FF incidents, etc. After the game the other two players left and then I was kicked. I assume I was just the last one to be kicked and the other two were kicked before me.

Despite people that will say "well, if you got kicked, clearly you were the problem," you can't read too much into kicks in this game. The host has absolute power to kick anyone they want, and unsurprisingly when you give players that power it's going to be abused.

Also, if someone has an issue with how you're playing, they're probably going to kick you during the mission, not after.

How's it "abusing power" to kick randos after a mission to open up space for actual friends or simply different people, no matter how good or bad they are.

You don't know these people and they don't know you, why do you feel like you have a priority on their lobby just because you played X amount of missions with them?

I'd rather get kicked at the end of a mission than the second I join, but either way it's a kick happy community. You have to host your own games to avoid it.
We.Are.Simulated Dec 21, 2024 @ 1:16pm
I honestly don't understand how people have this issue. I never get kicked at the end of a mission and I have 150 hours in the game. My only guess is you are not sticking with the group. If this is happening AFTER a mission is over, they are likely just making room for their friends. I don't see how this is an issue, a lot of people leave groups after a mission regardless.

We mostly kick after a mission to make room for a friend.
