Are Harvesters just busted?
Most of the illuminates are cool imo because there's a reason to bring some light pen weapons again. Until we get to these guys.

Compared to a Hulk:

They don't have a giga obvious weakspot in the back that you can actually shoot with any weapon to great effect,
They do share a tiny eye that you can hit but they seem to take significantly more pain to take down (Hulk is 2 Senator shots tops to the eye compared to idk how many with a Harvester because it kills me before I can find out)
They're lethal from entire cities away compared to Hulks that can only kill you up close basically, plus you can dive through almost anything a Hulk can do unlike getting insta zapped.

So is this just another "Bring RR or bust LMAO" unit? It sure feels like it. Really would like to rock the Stalwart or MG against illuminates because it helps with the voteless and overseers a lot, but that leaves only some red stratagems to deal with Harvesters because nothing else can. And the occasional precision strike stops pulling its weight when Harvesters roll up in numbers of 3 to a given firefight. I'm just annoyed by these instakill microwave beams and don't know what to do.

I know about the shield gen protrusions (not sure what the bottom one does tbh), I know the leg joints are supposed weak spots. But can you really call it that when you still need anti tank class ♥♥♥♥ to take it down?

Edit: Yes, they're not actually busted, this is not a genuine cry for nerfs or a real claim that Harvesters are OP. Just presenting the stance that they seem a little crazy compared to other heavies and asking for means to deal with them that aren't demanding AT or 50 bullets of steady fire at a pixel.

harvesters have the aim of a blind frog and the speed of a rock.
I don't know how they're busted. x_x
I feel like this might be a loadout problem, I don't even carry AT and I always find a way to down harvesters, and they rarely hit me if at all. Only really overseers are a threat to me, as they should be.

Shoot the joint where their leg connects to the body. I can take them down with one burst of the laser canon, I'm sure with explosives it'd be even faster.

They're fine, quite vulnerable for many weapons already and are kinda weak for a heavy unit, beam can be avoided and they're slow, they can't shock you if they don't see you so you can keep hiding under them because they lack any other melee attack

Eye is unarmored so any weapon can damage it but you have to shoot a lot to kill it and it briefly stuns them

They're certainly a bit inconsistent with damage, and taking one down with anything but and MG or Recoiless is a pain because you're getting swarmed or shot by it the whole time

Rocket pods do sweet FA, thought they'd be halfway decent but eh.

I've found the best thing for them is the MG, burst fire the joints. I really want to bring a support weapon that's good against both hordes of voteless but also good for Tripods in a pinch, the laser cannon should fill that role nicely, but I for tripods you need an instant fire, immediate damage weapon, as focusing them is a little difficult.

Any med penetration weapon on the leg joints can take out harvesters. I've done it with an AMR, I've seen someone done it with MG.

And the bottom horn seems to also disable their shield.

When they last long enough to take 10 shots at you, one of those is just going to start exactly where you're at and instakill you.

Overseers die to one well-placed Senator bullet to the head, Harvesters I've yet to see die to any amount of lead. Straight up, I can be kiting and firing at the leg joints for 2-3 straight minutes until my friend comes in and just RRs it down, which just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks. You can't be hiding underneath them because the hordes force you to keep moving. There's no easy way to take your time and focus fire them, so it feels like AT burst is the only way.

Wrong, you can hit the weakpoint with a eat or recoiless and for some magicall reason they can take up to 3 hits. inconsinstent, needs to be patched same with stationary shiled ships, shields sometimes even resist a 500kg bomb.

They survived my EAT, certainly doesn't feel consistent. I've also never seen them die to a few bullets of the AMR, always over a mag. Like I said, I was hoping to still use the MG/Stalwart and Guard Dog.

Railcannon has a 3 minute cooldown or something, seems kinda useless for a unit that again I see 3 of at a given time on my screen.

HMG cuts through them like butter? Maybe if you dump half a mag in its eye while prone and undisturbed by any of the other enemies on the map, which sounds like a fantasy.

If there's 3 on screen, you don't want railcannon, you want orbital laser or such. ^^''
If your loadout prevents you from effectively taking down harvester, consider adjusting your stratagems so you have multiple tools with that to take them down.

If you are not using the fastest RPM setting, that is on you.

They are the most harmless unit among all Illuminates considering how easy they go down.

Plus they cannot aim at all. If you hear them charge their shot, just stand still.

They never hit you.

You can even just run through their shield, and shoot them straight from below them.

One hit kill with EAT - always
