No. Crossover can bring players that never considered a game previously. In the way that it's being done by AH, it doesn't impede anything if you don't care about it. Sure, there are some unique weapons, but they are very similar to the weapons already in the game so nothing is really lost not having it.
I think they are a good thing when done well. There are crossovers in other titles which make no sense.
Charging almost 90% of the net cost of a warbond for a single weapon? Not fine, not fine at all.
Exactly.
Inspiration from other titles, yes please.
But this lazy asset copy that is the Killzone stuff is just awful.
So for something like a Kasrkin, imagine armor mostly similar to helldiver armor, but with more rounded shoulders and the distinct mask/helmet style. Still Helldiver armor, but borrowing some aesthetic traits so that it resembles stormtrooper armor.
they really should be focusing on bug fixes but hey they got the player numbers up again regardless.
No it doesnt fit. Put all armors in the game side by side and then the two Killzone armors.
They stand out like a sore thumb since its a direct copy, no adjustment to fit the Helldiver style or anything. And dont get me started on the helmets clipping through most armors.
Collabs kill every game asthetic. It happened to Call of Duty, it happened to Rainbow Six Siege, it happened to Battlefield. It will happen to Helldivers eventually.
Give it a couple more collabs and the devs will start to lose all sense for it, and badaboom badabing we end up with Nicki Minaj.
Taking inspiration from games and then make a fitting version, im all for it. But not like this.
