The vehicles feel really odd to control.
The controlling of the car does feel a bit sensitive I think I'm not entirely sure how to describe it. The cars tend to turn very suddenly and are a bit hard to maneuver through environments at times. Also, the default camera position is way to low when your driving and the vehicle blocks all view so that I can actually see what's directly in front of me.

It's a translation of a stick shift into video game controls.

It's designed for controller

Yes, I don't doubt driving is better on controller, but I'm playing a shooting game and I prefer KB&M so there needs to be settings to accommodate peoples preferences.

Big ass wheels like to clip buildings and debris, so watch where you drive. Also don't use the handbrake much unless you want to drift around corners like an absolute legend.

I knew I was gonna come across the few people who disagree and I'm happy your enjoying it and all, but this game needs settings for vehicles so people won't have a tough time driving in the heat of battle. My honest best comparison to this is Halo's vehicles in that game you controlled vehicles by looking in the direction you wanted to go so there was no way the camera would be placed in an awkward position since your in control of the camera. However, controlling vehicles with WASD just requires better control over the vehicle and a better camera placement which in turn means this game needs settings to help accommodate peoples preferences.

Preach. On PC at least it feels like crap atm.

I'm glad we finally got vehicles, but ya it definitely still needs some work to make it more usable.

i find 1 and 2 gear work best for the control, 1 is a bit slower but its much easier to drive

I've lost count how many times I got dismounted from the gun turret because my driver drives like a drunkard. I don't even understand how they can flip the FRV while driving on a flat surface.

If you played the OG hal back in the day, it feels like driving a Warthog in those.

It feels fine until you pop a tire and that tire sometimes don't update if you aren't the host so it can feel kind of bad on the turns.

Halo warthog driving definitely had a slight learning curve to it but it wasn't hard to control. When I mean a learning curve I mean you could learn to like avoid getting flipped over or at least I've heard from others in the Halo community who are good at driving in Halo. I wasn't around in Halo's best days, I have played halo in recent years and the vehicles are super easy to control, and I'd say every Halo except CE had fairly well made handling.

In Halo you steer the vehicles with the mouse which is a much better solution than steering with the keyboard because if you want to turn left or right on a keyboard it's either all or nothing
