WH40k "Tempestus Scions" collab when?
Warhammer 40k have the elite infantry soldiers that are beyond the
"Astra Militarum", like the creme of the crop are called the "Tempestus Scions"
they're basically the tier just below Space Marines and are still humans
but they're like the most elite, elite boys in the elitist elitiest elite of humanity

...which sounds just like us :D

Probably won't happen, 40k really doesn't fir the theme of Helldivers, though the influence is there

If it's not as pricey as the Killzone collab, I'd consider it. Also, there's an even more elite Imperial Guard force which makes the Tempestus Scions look like foot soldiers; the Lucifer Blacks.

helldivers is directly inspired by 40k lmao how does an imperial guardsmen not fit the theme of helldivers

getting the rights to do anything would be the problem

could see armor made inspired by some designs but that's about it

No it's directly inspired by Starship Troopers, with secondary inspiration from Halo, and minor inspiration from 40k. 40k has so little influence comapred to the rest that it would be very out of place in Helldivers.

I am just going to assume you know little or nothing about 40k then, starship troopers and 40k imperial guard fighting Tyranids are so similar it isn't funny, I think the main difference is that 40k goes out of its way to be edgier and there's no voting

Fun fact Starship troopers directly inspired 40K. Starship troopers is from the 1950s yes the 50s with the book which is where a lot of space marine stuff comes from

It's 40k mate, it'll cost double!

I'm hoping it comes eventually, it'd be awesome and considering the Dev team admitted to painting 40k minis in their spare time as a team bonding exercise, im sure they're open to the IP.

the problem is GAMES WORKSHOP
who are very litigious and very hands on when it comes to their IP
That they even went after content creators to silence them
hence why we lost Abafusa's "If the Emperor have text to speech device"

A collaboration implies agreement between both IP holders. It's unlikely GW will sue anyone for a collab with Sony for Helldivers 2. Mind you, i do miss Alfabusa "Emperor TTS" series, but this has little relevance to the topic.

EDIT: Made it weirder because you started the thread...

Helldivers is directly inspired by Starship Troopers, not 40K. It's not even close to 40K
