PAY TO WIN assault rifle and Armor in store

A weapon in store for 615 credits is already bad, but that it has better stats than liberator in everyway? Thats p2w nonsense. They learned nothing from what destroyed the game at the first place. You cannot make a weapon obsolete by introducing its replacement. This is not a moneygrab mmorpg where your build gets constantly made obsolete to force you to buy the next thing!

Also that armor has 3 differnet armors' passive combined into one. Making all those armors obsolete, who thought this would go fine?

First, DRG is not a free to play game either since you need to pay to gain access to it in the first place, and buying the game to play it at all is not the same as buying extra power within said game.
Second, Helldivers armors are largely cosmetic and, again, all the packs and armors in superstore can be earned for free by playing.
Third, while it is true that they fumbled the distribution of the armor and guns, they are obligated to give them out for free eventually.

Still failing to see how Helldivers is somehow pay-to-win, since everything is available for free.

To be fair, I believe the DRG point is along the lines of "This other game that you pay for has cosmetic only DLC and you can't buy weapons with money". But, at the same time. In Helldivers 2 you can't do it either. At least not fully. It's buying a reasonably earnable resource to bypass a couple hours of grinding. Which with the way the system is set up, the grinding is similar to other games where you work for a resource or other such item.

With the second point, even the stats for this armor aren't great. Genuinely. The only time I've found it nice is for my aggressive tactics on Harvesters and surviving a shock. But I only wear it because it looks nice. I'd rather have the engineering, peak physique, or servo-assisted passives. Sadly, the armor looks too rad to not use for me.

Tbh, there's a middle line. I thought the same for a bit, mostly due to the increasing prices. As I personally found it to be outrageous. But if a weapon were to be in the 100-200 credit range, that'd be acceptable imo. 1/5th the price of a Warbond, for one of the primary aspects of it

Nothing is pay to win. You can earn super credits very easy in this game and buying super credits is already far cheaper than in any other games with lower quality and content than this. Entitled gamer stfg.

The gun might only be a bit better than the liberator but its setting a terrible precedent for the future, it's not a f2p game, selling anything but cosmetics is bad and plenty of live service games only sell cosmetics so there's no excuse.

maybe if a game is bad then a game is bad and thats okay!! but saying "urhm just dont play it then?" is a way to not address core issues in a game.

People that say it's not pay 2 win or you can easily grind SC seem to lack foresight. Yes the current super store weapon is garbage, but will the next weapon in the super store be garbage as well or will the current weapon be buffed in the future?

Easy to grind super credits is also something only someone can say that has been playing the game for a long time and potentially no life it. Any new or returning player will stand in front of a giant mountain of additional purchases and be majorly turned off from having to grind for days to weeks (depending on playtime) to catch up, before they can do the fun builds that get recommended to them everywhere. Let's not forget that even if you buy SC with real money you still have to grind for medals to actually unlock what you paid for.

The gun has 11 more bullets, and 5 more recoil points, no scope, how in the hell is that a pay to win weapon? Is it a pricey weapon? yes. Are you at an advantage over someone? no, its a co op game.

Even the SMG they added is Knight with less ammo.
