Feels bugged as it gives no reason to bother changing stance with the AMR.
thanks captain obvious
For example JAR-5 has bad handling but its a very accurate weapon once you have it on the target.
Crouching and going prone only reduce the weapon sway and possibly the recoil, idk if the recoil part is only in effect if you have the fortified armor perk or not.
it's my go to for bots, but not so sure yet about the squids. It's not terrible against them, but those jetpack dudes make you spend alot of that precious ammo. At first i thought it was my aim, but i often watch my rounds go right into those guys and not much happens...then other times it seems to take them out rather quickly. And yes it's good against the harvesters. But it just feels like it should be better against these squids but it isn't for some reason.
You need better aim. Overseers are two tap headshot bait. Flying overseers can technically be done in one if you hit them in the jetpack, which is admittedly hard to do when they're facing you and floating around.
More importantly, the AMR can reliably and consistently kill the tripod walkers from long range. One shot destroys the shield projector if the shield isn't already up, which makes it relatively trivial to kill with strategems, AT, or the rest of the AMR mag.
The other reason to take the AMR is that being long range lets you pick and choose your engagements. Flying overseers will hover in place before being aggroed making pickoffs easy, and you can cap the squid drones quickly if you're fast and never see squid reinforcements all mission.
I actually find the AMR better against squids than bots because of the limited number of Overseers. You're not as ammo constrained meaning you can pack a bullet dog which might also be best-in-slot for squids.
