Bit inaccurate due to inconsistent reticle due to dual weapons. Downwards aiming angle still isn't fixed. Could do with a third mech per mission. But makes short work of chargers from the front as well as general hoard clearing purposes, with more ammo than the basic autocannon with no reload and better pen all at a Helldiver's sprinting speed, making it a great tool in my opinion.
People say it's okay on bots if you stay mobile and use cover but I ain't gonna try to test that theory lol.
It has plenty of problems, but the damage is honestly fine. Most other things, such as CD, limited uses, ammo, accuracy, not being able to use stratagems while inside are the problems.
Shoot them in the leg. It blows armor off and then 1 or two more shots finish it off. But I also think the head should be a weaker spot than the legs so that one's on arrowhead.
New mech is fine. It's not breaking the meta, but it's not totally worthless. It's also pretty fun, but its inconsistent accuracy is a bit unsatisfying (this one might be skill issue on my part, though lol)
i will keep it in mind next time i'm using it.
I haven't tried it on titans. Also it has half the damage of a normal autocannon (at least on bile spewers, it takes 4 shots), which I think is okay because of its other pros like increased pen or mobility.
I rate new mech 6/10, fix the aiming angle for 8/10 lol. It's shocking how often the downwards turning is a problem in a normal session. Slight inclines are everywhere; most objectives and almost all extracts are on a hill.
They have to make exo suits a bit more durable. I tested new suit on bots, good dmg potentially, but they have a lot of heavy guns, like tanks, cannon towers, walking factory, artillery, etc. Still can't advice to use mechs on bots.
Now I watch Youtube videos and it has exactly the same issues its predecessor had, Arrowhead were so lazy they didn't even bother fixing it for a new content drop. And on top of that, you can apparently only take one mech, so the thing I was looking forward to (ie. mech loadout) is specifically denied.
I'm not sure I've ever seen a development studio that has such a hatred for fun.
Mechs are pretty half-assed, but they do seem to have long term plans for them at least.
The damage to durable wouldn't be such an issue if the mech either had more ammo or enough accuracy to hit the damn Hulk heads consistently. It can still 2-shot them, there's just no way to actually hit them reliably if your crosshair is a loose approximation of where the shells are going to go.
On the plus side you can remain mobile, don't need to reload and are very resistant to the Hulk's damage. On a side note, Hulk legs break in 6 shots each, which can be a viable alternative to blasting the chest plate.
