Mech is a noob stratagem
Why? Because all people that use it only play below level 9. It is impractical and unthinkable to even bring it in helldive. A tank will one shot you and you are not fast enough to outflank it, if it drop from a drop ship and you are still in the mech, you are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ as you do not deal enough damage to even smoked a tank unless shoot behind it turret. A cannon turret will also one shot you so there is really no point in bringing any of the mech in helldive.

Even if you are 100% accurate with your shot the most you can kill with Emacipator is 3 Bile Titan. A 10 min cooldown stratagem can only kill just 3 large enemy! What a joke. People that say it is anti medium have no idea what they are talking about, it doesn’t have enough ammo to be wasted on a warrior or brood commander that can’t even chase you and a Plas-1 or Jar-5 already filled that role of anti medium and it does the job much better than a mech.

While inside the mech, you are lock away from using stratagem, you cannot reinforce or call in Eagle strike which have x5 lesser cooldown and can kill over 100 enemy, even for bughole closing is questionable as a grenade pistol can do that job much more efficient. A pistol is better than a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mech imagine that.

It seriously need a buff to deal the same damage as Sentry cannon. While that maybe too strong as you can kill 38 Titan with 150 ammo and same damage as sentry. It is justifiable to nerf ammo to 80 so you can still kill at least 19 titan if you are accurate with your shot. This is a 10 min cooldown stratagem not a weak ass 1min cooldown so it should be that strong to make it worth the risk. The mech need serious buff

Yes people that say it doesn’t need a buff clearly have no idea what they are talking about. Those mech need serious buff to be a viable option. Meta is a thing because many option are terrible to use

Hhaha, so true.

You are just flat out wrong. I played with it on max difficulty, without any problems. To start with, you can obviously get out of it at any time you want. So you can jump out to throw an orbital railgun strike at a titan, then just climb back in and go on your way.

Also, I don't even know what your talking about. There probably isn't even 18 bile titans in an entire game. How would one item, from one player, being able to kill every single bile titan that spawns on a map, be even remotely balanced?

If you can accept the call-down delay, it is better than an OrbitalLaser pick:
- more Damage Output than an OrbitalLaser
- Lasts 4-5 encounters (low-intensity)
- Lasts 2 encounters (high-intesity)
- Doesn't sit there burning a hole in the ground after the enemy is dead.

Simply put; if you can accept the call-down delay, it is better than an OrbitalLaser pick.
The orbital laser can't accidentally blow up so it's better.

but double mech stratagem is ultimate wrinkly brain
Neo Delphi May 27, 2024 @ 2:37am
I've ran it solely on Diff 9. The only faction the mech struggles against on Diff 9 are bots, and that's because striders, tanks, and cannon turrets are gonna focus on you and snipe you in one shot.

Doesn't kill your teammates - unless you want to.
More durable than you are.
Infinite stamina.
Immune to gas.

Yup, Mechs were never meant to 'solo', but add the extra firepower for an steamrolling team.

All this controversy is the same when the Patriot came out.
People secretly feel the Emancipator is BETTER and the debate needs to be re-opened.

Used "mine" yesterday, on 9, to close a Stalker Lair, a large and 2 medium nests. Was pretty neat for that, just walking through,s tamping bugs and shooting left end right to close holes.

The regular auto cannon does that as well with none of the downsides
Myth Alric May 27, 2024 @ 2:51am
Getting punched across the map by a stalker is a downside of fighting them with a regular auto cannon.
