I would assume, just based on simple logic. that a tank would be a bot enemy. and logically if you arent ever seeing them. you are too low of a difficulty.

therefore. go higher.

I already finished level 7 automaton mission but didnt see one.
Maybe planets matter? Or do i go level 8?

You find them at 5+ in bot planets. Look for the heavy outposts, they generally have 2 of them (you can get unlucky and they have 3-4 hulks instead). At 6+ they can drop later in the match... towards the end of the 40 minutes timer.

At 7+ they almost guaranteed bot drops. after 10 minutes. They also show up a lot in Eradicate missions 6+. Suicide and up they are regular occurrences.

Finding a Helldive Eradicate pretty much guarantees 5+ of them in the first 5 minutes of that mission. The main issue is not being killed before that, with all the Heavy Devastators.

they arent ensured and are instead an opportunity enemy like striders, or chargers. which arent ensured to ALWAYS be there.

playing bots on 5+ will spawn tanks occasionally. if you want to EASILY get 3 destroyed go into a large map on 9 and you will find them often, especially in eradication missions which almost always have atleast 2 if not more per mission.

The problem is that they aren't much more "Valuable" than Hulks... and you need to get "lucky" with RNG. to have the AI director drop a Tank instead of a Hulk. At 7 you can have a Shredder Tank being dropped on the very first Bot call, but RNG is RNG.

Still, best chance to find them is in heavy outposts and high level eradicate missions. Heavy outposts tend to have 2 Tanks, 3 Hulks or 1 Factory Walker guarding them.

Important thing to make sure of is looking for the right tank, shredders are the portable AA variant of the bot tank (for those unaware or mistaking their names).
Also fairly rare from my experience, in comparison to the classic annihilators, I'd maybe try difficulty 6-7 eradication missions?

I tend to do my "kill Tank" missions by doing Difficulty 7+ Eradicate missions. Just find one, and then its 50:50 if its the map you can solo or isn't. If you get the Solo-able map, then you'll get them easily, until the Factory Walkers show up.
