They insist that everything must be equally terrible
But yeah I witnessed an entire group of four shooting a Bile Titan earlier and the Bile Titan managed to walk through a gate despite that, from its spawn about 50m away. That was unexpectedly...terrible.
I have a theory, and that theory is they added it to make the Patriot Exosuit look good. Which it succeeds at.
With that colour scheme it should be a flamethrower or gas based exosuit too. Or a submarine.
You can 2shot a titan with RR, EAT or Quasar. So having to spend what, 50+ shots to down a single titan is just rubbish
EXO-49 EMANICIPATOR can shoot most type of bots without a care in where you aim at. you can shoot Hulks in the eye to kill them and the shooting flying ship in the reactor to take them down, against charger and bill, prett much useless, and less efficient at taking swarm of hunter.
Patrit Exosuit : You have to aim at bots weakpoints for it to be really useful, most type of bots will have too much armor on the body, so wasted bullet if you can't aim at weakpoints hence a bad Time To Kill (TTK) if you can't aim at weakpoints, can only take down Hulks with the limited 14 rocket (i think it was 14...or 16) as for flying shooting ship, you also need those rocket that are fairly slow and inacurrate add to that your limited amount of ammo and you will run out very fast on those rockets, but you can take down Charger and Bill Titan with them and the minigun is good for swarm of hunters and bugs in general
They are Fairly balanced from what i think, i did not try out the EXO-49 EMANICIPATOR tho so i can't be sure on how it react exactly, but that's how i see them
Every new feature they release is complained about on Steam discussions. It would be more weird not to see this lol
imagine getting 100 autocannon shots to destroy near everything with. I mean you can use a QUARTER of your ammo to kill a bile titan. thats 4 bile titans killed by yourself. not to mention whatever else you brought.
its very good. it just came out. just learn to use it right.
hell people say SMOKE drops are useless. nah they are mega good for holding a spot.
drop it on extraction 2-3 times while waiting to leave and literally no bots can see you or hit you, prone in the smoke picking them off within the safety of the smoke.
That's asking too much. The playerbase wants easy wins on a silver platter and hates the idea of having to actually learn how to use something well to derive value from it.
The Turrets one shot you every single time with no mercy while your own shots cant do diddly if you didnt get the drop on their weak spot first.
At least until the mech stops having a six minute cooldown and a limit of two uses per mission with such a paltry amount of ammo (that you can't refill) as well as having such a miserly health pool (that you can't recover).
I'm far from a munchkin who demands only the most efficient playstyles and meta strategies, but it really feels like you're just griefing yourself and the team if you bring an exosuit at the moment, lol.
it did WONDERS. absolutely decimated on helldive difficulty.
mechs require strategic use, NOTHING in this game comes as a net positive, everything good has drawbacks. the drawbacks of mechs are they are powerhouses when applied to the right situation but a hinderence when not. if you use them in a BAD circumstance for it then of course it wont shine.
why use a mech on a giant map? maybe use it for extract safety, or for holding larger objectives like evacuations sure but travelling missions are a 0 IQ play. not the mechs fault.
why would you bring a shovel to rake the leaves.
I've pulled teams out of some very hairy situations with an exosuit. It gets more work done than an orbital laser, and protects you long enough to make full use of it. People act like its potential damage output and durability shouldn't cost anything.
