You start unlocking new perks pretty quickly with the main warbond
I do love he OG armor look tho
On the other hand, I think this kind of went out the window with polar patriots. If they truly want to stand by that philosophy, the snowy armor should have snowy perks. The gas-mask helmets should actually protect you from gas. Etc.
I actually really like the idea of specialized armor for silly squad-based cheese. Everyone taking a gas-mask and gas strategems, and just gassing everything sounds like it would be really fun. Everyone taking the lightning resist armors, and taking tesla turrents, arc launchers and blitzers sounds like it'd be great. One arc launcher is (more than) a little lack-luster, but can do chip damage to everything; I'm convinced if I could coordinate a squad to use 4 at once, it would be GLORIOUS.
I don't really like your suggestion here. The only difference between the armors is the paint job. Form dictates function. They're the same armor, they should provide the same perks and protection. If they were going to do something like this, I would rather they give 4 different armors with different perks. As it is, I don't think it's that difficult to just unlock armors with the perks you want.
