HELLDIVERS™ 2

Best difficulty for contributing to liberation progress (for the current MO and future)
So i did some maths, and i believe trivial is the best difficulty to play on if all you want to do is contribute to the MO and don't care about anything else.

(Disclaimer these numbers may change due to ingame stuff)
Trivial = squad impact 2
Helldive = Squad impact 12

Trivial missions can take anywhere from 1 to 5+ minutes depending on what you do in them. For max efficiency its better to just spawn in, complete the objective then waste all your lives fragging yourself so that you don't have to wait for the pelican to arrive.
As long as the main objective was completed, the mission counts as a success and will contribute to liberation progress.
The fastest trivial mission i was able to do was 1:18 secs using this method.

So in theory i could get the same amount of squad impact by doing 6 trivials in a little over 8 minutes as i could doing a full helldive operation that could very well take over an hour or more to complete and may even fail halfway through.

I've not tested the other difficulties but the reason i chose trivial is because of how reliably it gives an instant win, one mission and the operation is done, and unlike easy, no devastators spawn in trivial.

I've maxed out everything as my job gives me lots of free time. So the only reason i have to play anymore is contributing to the MO or for fun, and lets be honest here the current balancing makes the latter reason a bit more hit and miss than we'd all like.

TL;DR
Trivial has a better payout than helldive when it comes to efficiently contributing to the MO, so if you want mech and don't like bots, spam trivials.

Stick to your level of fun and comfort and that for me is 7 to 9.

We figured this out pretty quickly at launch.
Trivial has always remained the best in terms of pure liberation score. But no one likes to run them cause their boring as ♥♥♥♥.
Additionally, the system will scale by populus across the entire galaxy, if a majority of the playerbase focuses in a single system than it'll scale. But if everyone is spread apart you earn less score even if the number of players spread across is higher.

an entire galaxy with 100 players that are all on 1 planet will get 100% scaling where as a galaxy with 1000 players all spread across 2 planets will get 50% scaling making the 100 players actually achieve more as an end result.

But, no one actually cares about pure raw liberation score or the war map in general, most people just want to shoot bots/bugs.
The fact that liberation score is so disproportionately unbalanced in favor of the unfun missions and scales horribly is in direct contradiction to it's purpose of serving as a entry point to the gameplay.
That is people should be able to play the game and get rewarded from the gameplay not sit around doing nothing on an idle/spreadsheet simulator. The war map is a joke of a system that is poorly implemented.

I assumed as much, though after a brief search couldn't find any other posts about the topic, my bad for bringing it up again if it was already common knowledge.

It's alright it's not as common as i wish it was.
People get banned on the discord all the time for even mentioning it as a viable option.
