Sounds useless then. Other 2 rovers actually make the problem go away, not just kick the can down the road.
To test it go on the bot front and you see what i mean, when the gas hits something lets say a scout strider, then 1 he will get damage over time but not that mutch and 2 he will shoot everywhere but not you, because he got a blind effect, im my case a whole group of bot ended up shooting a tree instead of me.
If you want to use gas make sure that you dont use it like a flamethrower because you cant, spray them in gas and then switch to your support weapon or normal weapon and kill them, because they wont hit you, you wont die and you can kill them more ez
It takes more gas for hulks, chargers to apply the effect.
But it works the same way as it does with small enemys, a charger will charge into nothing, a hulk just shoots in a radom direction
It does do damage. Low damage, but it does. However.... its targeting abilities are worse than an 80 year old grandpa's. LITERALLY appears to spray directly where the enemies are, but they dont get affected unless they jump/move up a bit (attacking), or are literally up my face. So its either targeting, spray range, or both. Also, focusing on ONE enemy with minimal damage, in missions that have hordes of them, is terrible. It's A.I. should detect what is affected by gas, and what isnt, and then attack the ones that are not, letting the gas do its thing (a suggestion I read on Reddit). That would be FAR more useful.
Overall, its terrible. Considering that ALL gas DoT has the same confusing effect, the dog is basically redundant, save for a few specific situations.
Now they just shoot the ground and sometimes kill something, helldivers included.
