7950X3D bottleneck with 4090?

Hay, I'm playing at 3440x1440 and get much lower FPS at the moment than I used to (about 2 weeks ago)
I used to get well over 100FPS, like 140, but now I sometimes drop down to 50 FPS and see my CPU usage go up to about 50% while my GPU usage is at 60-70%
I made sure the CPU is running correctly with the 3DV-Cache stuff
The same happens when I turn down settings.
Does anyone have the same issue / know what to do? :/

No. The issue comes from some mysterious performance issue that multiple people are suffering from. Have you tried the async computing option in HD2?

Yea I have, doesn't seem to do anything sadly :/

Oh well, if multiple people are experiencing that then that's "good" I guess, at least not a bottleneck xD

I have 7950X3D and it does not, I think it might be your driver or something.

Which GPU do you have?
And which resolution are you playing at, what's your GPU usage at etc?

reinstall your video drivers. every time I play I have to reinstall nvidia's drivers each time before launching. otherwise Im locked around 30-50fps with a 4090 as well.

I have AMD Ryzen 9 7900x3d 12core
AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX

Cpu 49% / GPU 96% 1440p, everything on Ultra.

Edit; I just realised it's not the same CPU when I checked my bad.

That's interesting, I know FPS are all over the place depending on what's going on and which planet you're on, but what's like your average FPS when fighting whichever fraction you usually fight?

It averages 162.3 fps with 165 cap (I cap to my monitor 165hz)

I said, everything Ultra, 1440p (2560 x 1440)

I didn't build pc, my tech friend did everything for me I guess he did a good job hehe

I don't think so, the GPU is at ~57 degrees and the CPU averages at like 63 degrees
I also don't have that issue in other games, as most games push my 4090 to 99% usage

Try a clean install of your drivers with DDU. I've had this issue before, and in fact I too am experiencing slightly degraded performance recently. Last time I reinstalled drivers and it bumped me back up, but I haven't got around to doing it again yet. Battlefield 2042 would also degrade overtime in this way for me - it happens when not performing a clean install of new Nvidia driver updates. Let me know if your have any success with this suggestion.
