On the bot front this would almost wipe strongholds and create craters that can be used for cover reliably.
On the bug front it would effectively kill and close those randomly generated bug holes when they call for back-up.
You can just bombard them from affar
If you feel suicidal then atleast use the bombing run that has always been better than the BEEG boomba
I personally like to swiss cheese em with the HMG turret. That way my bullets go through all the wings in the way.
Just bring back the shredder, would be fun to use in HD2. It was basically a hellbomb turned into a missile.
Though yeah it also kinda weird the 500kg bomb can't destroy shrieker nest in a single hit. Those things don't look that sturdy, and while I can get things being unrealistic for gameplay reasons, I also don't think there's really a gameplay benefit for them two take multiple since its just forcing you do the same trivial task of calling down a 500kg bomb twice on the same stationary target.
Of course you could also just circumnavigate the issue by blowing it up from afar with a support weapon, but I don't think thats enough of a reason to ignore this.
This is clearly an oversight from the changes last patch and not done for balance. There is no balance argument for not allowing 500kg to destroy Shrieker nests in one hit. I'm not talking about taking all 3 nests in one hit, I am talking about a single tower of the nests not being destroyed in one hit.
That's fundamentally flawed from both an immersion and balance perspective. For both immersion and balance, the player expects 500kg to destroy the nest.
It's so nice that they have only 2 armor value now. I took a set of nests out with a liberator a couple days ago.
Why?
Basic MG43 can take 'm out with 1mag per nest.
