Not a fan of the plasma projectile changes for this gun, it drastically reduced its effective range.

There is nothing in the game quite like what the PP was before this update. I wish there was because it was a very fun playstyle.

All the plasma weapons feel too samey now. Punisher lacks range now compared to the other 2 but at least 1 shots small guys, but Purifier can just full charge AoE kill smalls. The full auto mode on the Scorcher feels completely pointless due to the low mag size and reliance on mostly hit scan projectiles, the AoE is just too small on it when it comes to hitting enemies, but is apparently like 3x larger when it comes to hitting Helldivers.

yeah, new one sucks, drastically reduced range, no more mortaring it, hit reg is bad, i had shots just phasing through bugs, i used to be able to mortar a direct hit on a moving bot at max range, now its just another plasma rifle that face plants at 50ish meters. you can't lob into the centre of groups anymore so its just for staggering the front line now

Definitely feels like ass now. The projectiles are big globs of plasma, yet clip right through an enemy like a small bullet. Splash AoE is gone, feels like a knockoff purifier
