New weapon and armor issues (already)
Now before anyone says anything like how it's a skill issue or I suck at keeping my distance on bug front or finding cover against bots, hear me out on what I find off putting about the new gun and armor. Mind you, I only played on the bot front and had a meh experience after one mission.

Constitution: Good damage, recoil control and rate of fire. How to improve? Add a strip clip (like come on, it's the 22nd century, according to the wiki) like we got a speed reloader for the revolver and make the bayonet actually deal increased melee damage. I see people saying the bayonet does the same damage as normal melee, if not, is weaker.

DP-00 Tactical armor: Feels weaker than even light armor, as if you're not wearing any at all. For medium armor, I've been body shot from medium range by small arms fire 2-3 times and my health is already in the red, got hit by ONE projectile from a Shield Devastator in the arm, while I'm at full health, and it's already broken, and it's another typical Democracy Protects passive set. Thought it'd have a special non-meta passive for Liberty Day, but it is what it is.

Overall, I feel this gift for Liberty Day was... subpar at best. The Constitution is great for any difficulties, if you can manage your shots. It just needs a strip clip and good bayonet melee damage, and that's it, imo. The armor is just weak af as if something happened behind the scenes and it somehow became weaker than it needed to after being put into the game, or AH didn't field test it before releasing on Liberty Day. I say this because I've tanked multiple body shot rounds even in light armor and still lived, whereas I'd be dead in the DP-00 armor instead if I got shot the same amount of times. I hope something comes around from AH because this is not a good look for this classic armor set. But what do you all think of the armor and weapon?

It does more damage for melee, but the range increase is not really big enough to notice except against the little ones.

>good damage
>lower than the Counter Sniper, the weapon it is directly competing with for anyone bothering to use it

If anything, you're better off using the Counter Sniper. Can see up to 200m away, has more ammo, better damage. It's almost like there's no point using the Constitution. Do you think people would use the Constitution if it not only had a strip clip, but also Heavy armor penetration?

The Constitution does for sure do more melee damage! I noticed it against bots, I don't play on super high difficulties (especially since I'm getting back into the game) but it was able to one tap the chaff bots nearly every time during a firefight. Mind you, sometimes I hit an arm and it only takes it off but still easier than a regular smack to me! Also a tad more range on the melee is fun. I don't think the reload is too bad for no stripper clip but I can see the argument for it. I disagree with people talking like it has to compete with the Diligence Counter Sniper, it can just also exist - though I'm biased since I really like it!

As for the DP-00 Tactical, I didn't feel any weaker than in my medic medium armor, felt more durable than my recon light armor so I don't think it has less defense than average. It might though, I wasn't testing for it. The perk may not be something unique but feels very fitting for Liberty Day, downright a patriotic choice! I would've been interested in something unique too tho.

Ya, I get what you mean. Of course, I don't hate the Constitution. I just feel that there could've been more to make it compete with other weapons. If anything, I feel Heavy armor penetration would really put it up there. Can take on Hulks, for example, like the revolver, but has 5 rounds, a slow rate of fire and a somewhat slow reload, strip clip or not. So if you're taking the sniping route, it's either use the Diligence Counter Sniper for less armor penetration, but more ammo for chaff or higher bots, but can't take on heavy units. Or use the Constitution which sacrifices magazine size and rate of fire for increased armor penetration.

For the DP-00 Tactical, I'm not sure if it was just the game screwing with me into registering small arms fire as heavy rounds, or what, but after a couple more missions, it practically became hit or miss if I'd lose the proper amount of health or not to a hit, regardless of boosters used. I don't know, really. I do like the gifts we got, but in my current experience, they seem to underperform at the moment

Haven't noticed any issues with the armor.
