With everyone going "yay" over the flip of the requirement for PSN account, everyone seems to have forgotten the 177 countries that were playing the game. You think I've forgotten? I have not. You shouldn't have either. It's a disgrace that so many forgot the cries of those that were playing and paying in all those countries that Sony suddenly snuffed out.

Keep playing as you like but remember, you didn't win, but rather sacrificed many for a token victory. You had a chance to change this for the better and failed to follow up. Many of you will call me out but none of you can refute what I've said here. You can't refute that it was sold in the 177 countries that fought along side us in many campaigns that were suddenly silenced.

People have become so easily appeased that you can't tell what a Pyrrhic Victory is from real victory. Also don't think Valve isn't deleting bad reviews, because they have and are by metrics they determine are not "critiques of the game" even though the actions of Sony are directly related to the overall game's player base.

Yes I am bringing this back up. I have never shut up about it on any platform. I'm simply revisiting it now because of all the other things that are happening in the gaming sphere so you can understand what happened and why we should never have considered this a victory.

People are still criticising them for not unblocking the countries in literally every update comments section they make here. The blue writing post that someone makes asking for them to unblock the countries gets tons of take my points and poetry awards, not jesters, this is still in their face 24/7.

No one's let anyone slide by. My review is and always has been based on the game and its functionality / enjoyability.

So it was negative until last week.

Actually VALVE did the refunds themselves in order not to be sued it wasn't Sony who did it which is a joke what Sony didn't actually realise was Steam is available in far more countries than PSN. The sign in requirement is nothing more than a statistic boost to show their ♥♥♥♥ head shareholders its actually got growth this year since HD2 launched before April 2024, they then show in the meeting how it's grown thanks to HD2 but probably wont tell them it's most just Steam users as the game has a bigger player base than PS5.

Sony knew, they didnt care, they wanted "numbers go up, we good" for investors i bet.

Eg. Guam, Peurto Rico, US Virgin islands, West Bank
Just to name a few.

If we take actual countries and not territories like “the virgin islands” ; “some random bumphuck region of cuba” it boils down to 73 out of 191 countries banned

But if you take into account everything it’s 180 separate area bans, doesn’t help that american sony executives are so illiterate that they consider the baltic region part of russia and that’s why it was banned despite not being so previously

I just want the game to open back to those 177 countries. I have friends that i want to play with but couldn't due to the blockade. Theres no loopholes what so ever. Its awfully strict
