Defense missions are the worst, you'll kill all bugs/bots, wait a while with nothing happening and they pop up again.
And like the other guy above said.
This is VERY noticable in defense mission like asset evacution and elimination.
Meanwile, having full party at diff lvl10 gives you - almost nothing.
Not many bugs, a titan here, titan there, few chargers and maybe 1-2 impalers.
I am dying more often on lower diff lvls, than on higher ones
Yesterday I got a tank and a tower on a difficulty 3 mission while farming SC, thought they only spawned on 5+.
On difficulty 6 we got 800+ bug kills in 20 minutes, while sometimes nothing spawns. I don't mind some randomness, but this is getting out of hand.

The results, as always, are as if they didn't playtest any of these changes, because they don't line up to their intentions at all.
Spread Democracy missions are insane, with bugs getting stuck under ground, consistently spawning in bug breaches, patrols absolutely all over the place.
But other missions, toward the end there's just nothing. The music is playing but there's no bugs, no automatic bug breaches like there should be. Something is definitely wrong.
I've seen a lot of people leaving games in defense + eradication missions, too, because the length between breaches sometimes makes it feel like the game's bugged out.
TBH, I dunno why they don't just make bugs spawn like crazy out of the bug holes and NOT SPAWN when you destroy them. You earn the peace you fight for on the map. But that'd change everything about how the missions feel to play. It'd actually feel like we are assaulting a bug planet, like something out of Starship Troopers, but we're in too deep with whatever this is now aren't we?

Some missions like the spread democracy missions also go crazy on bug spawns with the amount of heavies coming in.
