Assuming you're running Win 11, you can try the following steps:
1. Go to your search bar and type "Virus & threat protection". Go to "manage settings". Scroll all the way down to "Add or remove exclusions". Add a folder exclusion and point to the Helldivers folder. If you're not sure of the folder path, go to Helldivers in your steam library and browse local files to find it.
2. The highest likelihood is that your PC has deleted/quarantined 2 files from GameGuard that was deemed a threat. You can reverify the installed files through steam (long process), or simply go to your Helldivers folder, then the "bin" folder, and delete the entire "GameGuard" folder. Don't worry, when you launch the game again, GameGuard will run and simply redownload all the files again.
3. Go to Windows Defender Firewall and click "Advanced Settings". Go to "Inbound Rules", and you should see 2 entries under Helldivers 2. Repeat for each one: Double click it. Go to "Programs & Services". Click "Settings" under "Services". Click "Apply to this service" and look for "nProtect GameGuard Service npggsvc". Click Ok and then Apply. Remember to do this for both.
4. Lastly, go to "View Network Connections". Go to the current connection you're using, right click and go to properties. Scroll down and uncheck the box for "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6). Click Ok.
This is what solved the problem for me and hopefully it'll help you.
