Jet Brigade Modifier
So Joel decided to throw CQB Boom Bots at you in large waves todays.

I had a bunch of other stuff I said here but people kept getting upset and raging or just all around acting smug and annoying so I erased all that stuff and I will just say...

Take it slow today due to the modifier, aka play on lower levels to adjust and form strategies before doing your regular mission stuff. or not. It's not like I can do anything to force anyone anyway. I was simply providing information to those unaware like I was when myself and a friend decided to treat it like a normal day and subsequently ate dirt due to some boomy bots.

jet bots are a nothing burger, in fact if anything they make D10 easier beucase it means less striders and less devs spawn.

The ragdoll is what makes D10 hard.

They're easy what are you talking about? It's actually EASIER to kill them on D10 than doing D10 without them because you hit one and they all blow up.

Try including a laser in your load-out. All you have to do is touch them with it and they instantly explode. Just a quick half-second sweep with even a dagger and 10 bots just explode. Heck, they even set the bigger things around them on fire in the process.

Or play the way you want to

D10's been a lot easier with the new jet troops. They die instantly and explode, killing the enemies around them. Having a guard dog also just deletes all of them as they fly at you which is pretty funny.

Main thing has just been there's been a load more hulks recently, but we got the weapons to handle em.

such a stupid idea just turn all the foot soldiers in to CQB suicide bots.

They blow up but if they get close to you and you shoot them, without a shield generator back pack on, you die like if you were hit with a grenade.

If people weren't having trouble with the modifier, the capture gauge wouldn't be so high. People are coming in thinking everything is the same, not realizing they made some tweaks, which is entirely why I made this post. Just so people are aware of what is going on if they weren't really paying attention.

He did it for the shock factor. I know I showed up today thinking it was just a normal day only to be bum rushed by a bunch of boomy bots. It shook things up even if it's a little annoying. All in all I think it was a fun little twist for the day.

Fair. Though if that's a problem you're having, I strongly recommend bringing a dagger so you can hit their packs easily while dodging/sprinting away from them.

To bring a dagger I have to have unlocked it. I haven't yet. I need to get cutting edge. I only need about 200 more req and I can grab it.

Those things bother you?
How?

They literary die in one shot, you just need to dive from fire more often.

Oh. Unfortunate. Well, any laser weapon is good here, but the dagger is the obviously the smallest and easiest to fit into a build. I slice up the jump troops just fine with the laser cannon as well.

They overwhelm and if they get close and you kill them they blow up like a grenade.

So Joel made it harder.

If you could do level 10 missions before, don't try to do them on the Defend planet due to the modifier. Joel turned a level 6 into a Helldive with said modifier.

Remember the goal is to win missions, everytime you lose a mission you feed their winning gauge. if you have to do lower level missions to just to win, do that instead. Don't worry about samples or any of that garbage right now. Focus on winning the defend.
That's not how it works. You don't "feed their gauge". Their gauge works on a fixed duration; they win in 24 hours from when the Defense starts if our gauge doesn't fill up first. Losing has no direct impact.

However, because how much each team contributes is scaled based on the number of teams playing in missions, win or lose, losing or quitting a mission means you are hurting everyone else's contribution without contributing your own. But that's also the case if you play on literally any other planet as well, it counts ALL players on ALL planets who actually joined a mission during the time frame.
