SG-8P Punisher Plasma - i miss my "mortar"

this was my favourite weapon and it's no longer.
the arc it flung the projectile in was predictable and easy to play with. it was fun to hit enemies at large distances and even hit them behind obstructions.
i liked using it like a mini mortar.

now the straight arc for me is hard to deal with and i can't really make it drop at the distance i want it to fall down on.
maybe it's lack of practice but with its previous way it instantly worked for me. i don't think it's even possible to use the same way as before.

it'd be nice if this would be reverted, and if not that maybe add another weapon that does allow firing slow projectiles with a beautiful predictable drop of the projectile.

like, a mortar strategem maybe that can be team operated for reload speed advantage, variety of shells and with an aim marker on the minimap.
not quite like the existing mortars which i loath for being an uncontrolled menace.

I miss it too, it isn't possible to use how we did before, its whole identity is gone, the new roles it somewhat fills are done better by other guns and theres nothing that can truly replace it. All it needed to be perfect was 2 more shots a mag but now its a meh shotgun (people that never used it don't realise it was never a shotgun before this) only good at close range and even then its shots can just phase through things. It needs a revert, if they added a new gun that was a reskin of the old PP no one would use the current PP and if they did programmable ammo as a bunch of people are saying it'd just overcomplicate the gun and make them seak to balance it with both modes in mind leading to a worse gun in every way. It needs a direct revert

I see more players and more use it lately. It doesn't seen as "crap" as it was before.
