which probably will be never honestly.
Rock and a hard place, I think their window to release it's gone especially since I can't see Sony ever reneging on the region lock.
I sympathise with AH a bit, cos realistically they prob hoped the backlash would tip Sonys hand and it didn't really do much As you say, Japanese companies do enjoy shooting themselves in the foot.
Yeah but the decision causing all of this was by Sony. Also you'd think they would love making enough to let this slide.
I guess AH just want people to forget about it.
Idk man, It's might seem great for us players.
But I don't really think that was a happy time for AH at all considered AH is still a business partner with Sony at the end of the day, and throwing your partner under the bus (no matter how scummy they are) is a bad look in business world.
Plus that cape is just a "F you" in Sony face.
Which is probably not a good idea for it to exist at all if they still want to work with Sony in the future, so it just smarter for them to just wait until people forget about it.
I'm living in one of those affected places, as of today I can't access any of the 2024 Sony games on the Steam store page, Helldiver included, however if I were to own a PS5 and subscribe to PSN, I would be able to buy those games on their playstation store, for the console, which is perfectly feasible where I live without resorting to cheeses or VPN, they sell the plastic crap and the sub.
To the credits of Arrowhead, I can still play, despite being REALLY unable to link my Steam account and PSN account for reasons beyond me.
As long as it stay this way and the people like me who own the game from before the Sony drama can keep playing, I wouldn't consider it a "fraud", but it certainly sucks for all the people that can't buy the game now though.
I certainly hope they don't forget, because if they were to steer away from the warbond formulae and release a regular DLC, I wouldn't be able to grab it :)
