so not as crazy as you say but yeah PC is generally more often than not the biggest market if you exclude the smartphone "game" market.
These days there are no longer any console only games, just timed exclusives. If you can afford it, a good PC is a better choice over a console. You can do infinity more with a PC than a console even if a consoles are getting more and more like a PC as time goes on, they will never be as good or as flexible. So when the PC has the higher numbers for any game it's not surprising, a good CPU and maybe a GPU upgread along the way will see you for a good 10 years on a PC, while on console you'll likely be buying a new one before that time span is up.
Most Sony players have probably never even heard of Left 4 Dead 2, and yet for a lot of us PC players, this is the most enjoyable co-op we've played since then!
