What happened to the MO?
Was busy last night so I didn't get to see what happened. Last thing I remember is having just 1 bot defence and 1 bug liberation planet left.

About 9k on the bot planet and 20k on the bug planet so I take it we failed in the bot front?

No, we won everything except liberating garcrux (bug side). That planet was something like 81% with 40.000 divers when the MO timer ran out.

There was 40k on that bug planet at one point, but divers over committed to the defenses and left the liberations understaffed for too much of the MO overall. We barely lost, but I blame poor in game metrics tbh

Dunno if abandoning operations cause no liberation progress, but from looks of it, it is very likely people were picking missions and then abandoning operations, and thus progress always lost.

This MO is deliberately set up to fail. I wonder if this is purposely done to delay the completion of the DSS because we've been waiting ages for that already. Game is getting stale as hell because a new warbond isn't enough and people who play daily are likely to have fully unlocked the stuff in that warbond already.

It was a tough MO regardless. Having to do 5 defense missions when defense missions require 50% of your player base to complete and at least a day to half a day soaks up a lot of your time

It could've been completed if everyone focused on just the MO but people also wanna just have fun and fight on the stuff they want to which is understandable. At least 20k players are on non MO planets currently and it was like that a lot of the time. If we all committed it probably could've been done, but as I mentioned, people also just want to have fun

I personally don't like fighting bugs as much, even more on the jungle biome so I didn't care to stay there the whole time

It wasn't set up to fail if we only failed it by four hours and we actually had the people online to be able to complete it. The bot defense missions were also set at a low invasion strength (super defense value) which made them a lot easier to complete.

Just not everyone wants to fully commit to MO's. Even more so when they're on planets they don't enjoy

We barely missed it and it was well within our reach, AH just don't provide enough information in game to make the best deployment choices. If everyone checked sites like https://helldiverscompanion.com/# we'd be much better informed

Damn, well at least I'm happy we managed to clear the bot front despite having less manpower. We're like the Survey Corps XD

You know, it would be nice if we had one giant group or social that acted as the real central command. Been reading Attack on Titan recently and that military mindset is a fun RP.

I don't mean the official discord server though, that place has too much issues.

Edit: I won't lie though, Gacrux is a horrible planet and the time I spent there frustrated me. Due to all the trees, my regular stratagems wouldn't work which is a problem against titans. Also due to the trees, my framerate tanked and I couldn't tell where I was going.

Compared to that, the bot front had a moon-like planet with very high visibility which I LOVED. It's been so long since I dropped on a planet where I could see 2 feet ahead of me that I had forgotten just how fun this game can actually be.

We actually have more people playing now than we have in awhile. Obliviously not like launch but that won't happen again but people to point at launch's absurd number as if it was going to be sustainable

Regardless, we used to have like 30-50k players on but we've had upwards to 90k in the past month. So there has been a resurgence

Sounds like Gacrux kicked our collective asses. A shame, but considering how difficult of a planet it was and how most of the attention was focused on the bot front, I'm not all that surprised.

I know everyone is saying we lost the MO because most of our attention was in the bot front but I'm gonna be totally honest here.

Not once did the number of players in bot front surpass the bug front for long period of time.

I've been constantly interchanging between the bot and bug front depending on who has less players and majority of the time the bugs had more players.

Oh, I suppose I stand corrected then.

I'm honestly not surprised, there were just too many separate tasks to complete for a single MO in the time given. What, something like eight or nine separate tasks that had to be completed? It wasn't impossible, but was definitely on the less-likely end, and we almost got it anyway. The suspicious side of my said that was intended, to make it take longer to complete the new warbond, but eh.
