Also, can it really be considered an SMG if it's not one-handed?
At this point it feels more like a stubby assault rifle than an SMG.
Not hating on it, it just confuses me
The new pump-action shotgun can act as as damage dealer or a support weapon with the "stun" option, as it can block Berserkers and Devastators from both moving and in case of Devs firing.
Invaluable against Shield Devs.
I bring it to "Extreme" and never had issues, could use a couple more bullets in the chamber though.
60 should probably be a minimum closer to 75 ideally.
In the far far future people apperantly dont design their weapons for what theyre fighting but just whatever sound cool.
Status quo defenders:"but then it would step on the stalwarts toes" dont get me started on that weapon man that thing is also holding back the other 2 mgs from actually being in a good spot due to them needing smaller mags than the stalwart.
ATM you could delete the entire assault rifle category and probably at best affect 3% of the total player bases loadout selection probably closer to 1% if you keep the adjucator and move it back to marksmen rifles.
altho idk what they did on the bot front but the arc thrower refuses to hit anything but the floor like 60% of the time there.
And exactly that is absolut BS and should not be possible, wasting time to do play the game like it is not designt for... to lame the butt off, I want to play the game and not such boring nonsense.
I Should get at 10 safe every match at least 30+ SC if you are do it dirty, but all objectives and if you look for every single point of interesset, u should get for sure more. It is such an stupid, bad and unfair design AH should be alot more punished for not scaling the rewards appropriately. Its like "Oh you play on 10? Well than ♥♥♥♥ you!"
The Halt has the problem of "gaming shotgun" balance, its stun rounds are perfect, but the flechette needs either a spread tightening or a damage fall off change as outside 20 meters, you are just tickling things. Flechette usually has better range than pellets so that one was a head scratcher. They are solid, but super niche to the point they are mid for most users.
Which is actually surprising, they are not "prenerfed" as people would joke.
The plasma pistol is the most solid gun but its ammo economy makes it so niche, its not worth going into detail. TDLR: if you are not using charge shots with it, you are wasting your time with it
Sterilizer is better at locking down a horde but the halt being a primary and having a competitive ability to CC is still amazing. As a support tool, the halt is an amazing addition. it is the best gun for a support player, use it with a guard dog, or a flamethrower and its just LOL
for a battle rifle and just all around not fun to use. Same ROF, same ammo capacity and one more mags than the BR-14 and slow reload as well, oh and recoil is pure side to side and up.
They should have bumped the ROF to like 600 or 650 to make it different from the other 2 (3) SMGs already available because that would have at least made it different. Much higher mag size and more mags (stop nerfing the amount of mags we carry just because you add 5 more round!).
Mark my words in a year Arrowhead will "rebalance" the SMG and they will copy 1:1 the fixes and buffs that they did to the Adjudicator.
However, the gimic that the shot gun brings is a super niche one, that is honestly solved by a thermite grenade.
The only use case i have found with the stun on chargers is that you can stun them, then pull out a weapon like say, the MG and unload into its back and kill it, freeing up a greanade slot. But at the same time, you can just thermite it and move on.
The Flechette rounds. are OK, but they are just OK. Medium pen is cool, but having zero stagger sucks especially for how slow its fires and with 8 rounds in teh tube it feels really meh considering you need like 2 or 3 rounds to kill a single hive guard.
Its not a bad weapon, but its a very MEH weapon. I would have loved to seen this charged just a bit to where the flechette rounds let you hold like 12, and the stun rounds held 4.
The thing that would make this gun miles better was if we had a hot spot key for fire modes rather then teh clunky, hold R and then click.
