Commando makes the other rocket launchers obsolete?
It can kill things from the other side of the map thanks to lack of drop , doesnt need to be reloaded, can combine it with backpacks, 4 missiles, low cooldown. Its like expendable but waaaaaay better.

It's cooldown isn't that low for high difficulties.

Expendable does nearly twice the damage per shot and has half the cooldown. So one EAT call in does about the same damage as one Commando call in. It's all about convenience since EATs are inconvenient to use and need a few changes.

At the very least they should allow you to carry both EATs with you, even better if you could carry an EAT in addition to a support weapon so you can equip your entire squad with additional AT.

I still prefer the EAT for bugs. Low cooldown means you weaponize the pod for chargers, too.

it doesn't make any other launcher obsolete, i'd even argue it's at the bottom of the tier list with the spear. still a solid option as balance is pretty good on the anti tank side but RR , eat and quasar all are slightly better choices in my opinion

You can take them both.

Store the commando and use normal rockets where needed - that gives you time to pull in another commando within a short time period.

For example, you can equip a commando, call in another commando or rocket if things get tough. For normal usage, just call in rockets for normal fighting but leave commando equipped.

That way during tough scenario's you can fire 8 x commando rocket and 2 x normal rocket to clear any major problems. You will always have 4 x commando rockets equipped.

If you go with commando alone, you are only going probably have 4 x commando or be waiting on cooldown due to normal fighting.

just equip all RR+EAT+commando and tell any heavy armor enemies to go ♥♥♥♥ themselves

Depends on what you're fighting. EAT is pretty terrible on bots because the breakpoints don't make sense. Tanks live with a sliver of health. Commando is also better against Fusion Cannon turrets that are found on Bunkers and Fortresses, as well as Mortars and AA Emplacements.

2 Commando missiles or 1 missile + Strafing Run will kill tanks, which ends up being more efficient than EAT.

Commando is pretty bad.
the rockets are low damage , you only get 4 , and the cooldown is way too high EAT / Quassar / and specially recoil does so much better.
