I used the Strafing Run and the 500. You can only use the 500 in a clearing, but you can use the Strafing run all over. You can bring the Orbital Precision Strike if you need to use something more frequent like you would the Eagle Airstike.
Went a few times and all my eagles were hitting was trees, so it's been a hard pass on those planets ever since.
With so much cover, a mech is rather good for stomping around and pretending it's Avatar.
Scythe for the Jet Brigade, Plas pistol for everything bigger.
Jetpack and Quasar for base destruction.
Eagles kinda suck in Forests though so I rely pretty much on orbitals or on hand weapons.
Halt (or some other shotgun), Grenade Pistol, Thermite
Crossbow, Senator, Thermite
Napalm Barrage, Strafing Run, Jump Pack, Quasar/Railgun
Bots:
DCS/Purifier/Reprimand, Senator, Thermite / Stun / Gas (whatever I feel like)
120mm/OPS, Strafing Run, Jump Pack, Quasar/Railgun
Jump Pack is key because it lets you get over a bunch of otherwise impassable terrain, like root walls or deep water.
Strafing Run generally doesn't hit trees and miss, and is much better that most people think, especially against bots or Bile Spewers.
Rest should be self-explanatory.
Arc Thrower, surprisingly enough, works quite well in the jungle, but since you can't really run 500kg you're kinda screwed in therms of anti-tank so I didn't include it in any builds.
