This Game isn't Dead.
I keep seeing this day after day, and while I know the vast majority of people saying that either don't play the game or are just trolling because they have too much time on their hands and nothing else to do with it, I felt the need to post that the game is NOT DEAD. It isn't even close.

For a Co-Op game, having 30,000 players online at any given time with a peak over 45,000, this game has a massive community. And that's just Steam numbers, I'm not even counting the PS guys.

Other Co-Op shooters have less than 10,000 peak players per day. Games like Darktide barely claw up towards a peak of 9k and other much newer games like Space Marine 2 are barely floating above 11k at any given time (peaks of 16k).

Yes, we all know about the very awful past where far too many things were nerfed and lesser equipment was ignored. Get over that. That's the past, and far too many of you are hung up on it. Recent patches, like since JULY, have only served to improve the game and the fun players have.

For those of you looking at the first Month's playerbase numbers, get over it. Halo 2 had millions, but today I doubt you could find a full lobby's worth of players. Games that are new have higher numbers around release. Those numbers fall as time goes on, with players migrating to newer titles, or leave due to boredom. Very few people play a game for more than 40 total hours, and most play for less than 2 hours a day. That means after a month they move on to something else. That means after half a year only the fans (and those with no other games to play) remain, and the population experiences a steady decline. Not to mention that Co-Op games suffer from players wanting full groups to experience the game. Though they can play Solo, that is rare, and most won't even log in unless they have a friend or three to game with.

Now I know many people will come in here to troll, and I don't care. Your opinions are not fact, the numbers are there as evidence and you can look them up yourself though we all know you won't. This isn't a discussion, so don't expect my response. If you want to see people rage, scream and cope just go to Reddit and mention Trump.

"DED GAME" is practically a steam forum meme at this point, along with the "LETS KEEP POLITICS OUT OF THIS GAME" posted by people who don't own the title in every single news/announcement post.

I don't know what these ding dongs get out of LOL DED GAME posting but then I'm not highly regarded in the community either

The game went from >600,000 players peak when I first started playing to <50k peak now.
They bled out ~90% of players due to their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ development choices, including tons of players that I had added in the early days.
The game is not "dead" but it is a shell of what it used to be unable to clear some major orders.
Steam forums are dead that's for sure.

The games ability to show planet regen is dead.
Look at how many people are on planets with stupid high regen making no progress.. and they don't know because the game is unable to tell them.
