What support weapon do you think is the best.
Trying to find out what most people think the best support weapon is. keep it to weapons you've personally used more than once.

i bet on comando, hes the best to clean striders, chargers, biles and anything that moves, just bring it and you see how fun it is.

I main AC.
But if forced to: I would rely on Quasar (cos of habit/history)
- but this would require me to switch out my sickle to a meatier DiligenceCS/JAR
- and move away from Senator to a machinepistol.
- an my optimal range of engagement would be reduced to 'a little closer'.
Moving out of my 'comfort zone/bias': RR, then commando.

I'll use whatever I think fits the mission best. The only support weapons I don't use:

* Laser Cannon
* Sterilizer

HMG, Stalwart, or Quasar, depending on what my squad lacks.

If I switch my support weapon, I'll have to adjust my stratagems and primary/sidearms to compensate for the gaps.

In terms of general convenience, probably the Auto-Cannon. It's becoming my go-to when my teammates have the other weapon roles covered.

WRONG!
Using anything else than one of the 3 machine guns right now is treason.

What difficulty and what faction? The higher you go the more heavily you need to rely on things to kill medium and heavy enemies. The selection of support weapon depends on everything else you bring like grenades, primary and sometimes secondary and other stratagems.

I don't think there's a single support weapon that works on both factions without the need to augment it in some way through the rest of your loadout.

The one I like to bring that mission.

Without a variety of support weapons on some of the more dangerous fronts, the data the Divers gather would be lost to death by Tank, or by Bile Titan.

Encouraging the withholding of data requested by the Ministry of Science, for any reason, is also treason.

my personal before we got new support weps were AT rocket launcher it holds 2 launchers then after 2 mins its available again,

then they dropped commando I kind of starter it using a lot recently,

but most GOATED in my opinion is still RECOILES LAUNCHER and the other one forgot the name where u can switch ammo types.

but if for real, SENTRIES are underrated especially rocket launching one it saved the day more than once in my books, and i tend to play 8,9 and 10 difficulties with occasional drop to middle to chill out.

Whatever my loadout, I'm a constant anti-heavy.
- I hide/detour/avoid patrols and engagements when possible.
- it annoys me when the bots I ping to avoid are interpreted as 'proposed targets'.
- I avoid teammate-rovers.
- I avoid teammates who want to shoot everything they see.
If I can mortar, thermite, airstrike, then drop an rocketsentry inside the base before running, I'm find with it.

I only play solo or with friends (so no public matches where I should/have to bring X to counter Y or fill Z role :lunar2019laughingpig:), and in both scenarios I tend to go Recoiless Rifle. I think there's no discussion about it being one of the strongest (if not #1) support weapons currently, and because you're "forced" to pick its own ammo backpack, it feels like I'm free to pick 3 orbitals/eagles/turrets, without having to consider nor worrying about any other backpack stratagem.

If not RR, other options would be Quasar > Commando > AC > Railgun. And still, my fav to use would be the flamethrower or heavy machinegun, but I'm addicted to being able to pop buildings/objectives from afar, so I tend to pick the long range anti-armor options.

tbh I use them all once in a while but Airburst Rocket Launcher is too wonky
